So... new look for Superman, Batman & Wonder Woman. I know we don't talk about comics much here, but this is funny even if you don't follow them. And honestly if DC keeps going like they are, no one will read their stuff anymore :D

I know those won't be around for ever, probably not even for long, but damn, those are some of the worst redisgns of a superhero I've seen. Superman basically stole Superboys old clothes, and is straight up thuggin now, which is silly enough I guess, bt\ut Wonder Woman and Batman look like some unused ideas from Rob Liefield's prime days in the 90's. Wonder Woman's sleeves are also knives! No, bigger! Huge damn knives! Yeah!

But Batman takes the cake, his Iron-Bunny armor is hilarious. It's like instead of tha famous scene with the bat flying through the window Bruce spent that night watching an all night maraton of RoboCop movies and Bugs Bunny cartoons. And people were paid to come up with that stuff and put it on paper. Damn.
I don't know. I kind of like the new look.

Seriously though, they've been fucking with those characters for ages and with Batman and Superman it always finds it's way back home. As for Wonder Woman, well she's always looked kind of goofy though I do like the still of her from the new movie; it keeps the basics of the original without being so damn flashy.

I like the new look on Superman and Wonderwoman. Batman? a bit too much like Jean-Paul Valley's Batman - http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/scale_super/0/8190/235670-139696-azrael.jpg
Those are pretty weak. Took me awhile to realize that robot dude is supposed to be Batman?...
Ah.. was that Batman? LOL
And that other random guy with a tshirt.. should be superman? -_-
I think a lot of people like DC comics, but today I think a lot of people are really not comic fans, but more fans of the games / movies / tv shows. I'm a big DC fan, but I'll admit I've never picked up a DC comic. But I watch every DC tv series such as Arrow & Flash... own all the Smallville's on DVD and DC movies like Man of Steel and Batman on Blu-ray.

So basically they can do whatever the hell the want with the comic's in my book. Lol

Superman just isn't Superman without his suit and cape. xD

Haha, same here. I thought it had something to do with Chappie / Briareos Hecatonchires.
Did Batman mutate into some sort of bug? I mean WTF is that look??

I love classic DC comics to no end, golden age, and silver age Flashes, Hellblazer, Batman, etc... but their recent decisions into character design (and the New 52 for the most part) has pushed me away from reading any of their newer stuff. It's a shame because I think not making the New 52 part of the DC Universe rather than making it the main continuity seems to have done nothing more than to push fans away. :(

That all being said, I'm curious if anyone has read the reboot 'Constantine', I'm a huge fan of Hellblazer and I was curious if that happened to be any good. I've not had a chance to check that one out yet.

You really should pick up at least some of the classic comics. Those tv shows you mention are a terribly dumbed down image of what DC is (or at least used to be). Especially Arrow, it's painful for me to see how one of the most interesting superheroes, with fantastic comics like Longbow Hunters and Archer's Quest, became a soap opera.

At least see the animated Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, if you haven't yet. It's weird, but DC's animated series are way more serious and mature than the live action ones.

From what little I've seen of John in the New 52 he is a shadow of his former self. I mean, they took away the politics, and the life and times that made him who he was, took away the cursing, and I hear now they will also take away his trenchcoat, because it's too old fashioned. I guess his next in line for a redesign after Bats, Wonder Woman and Superman here.

So there's going to be a zero suit Batman?

Once I would take grave offence at that (and I do like The Tick a lot), but seeing the new Iron Bunny Batman... yeah. Yeah, he would. And honestly, I'd buy a New 52 Batman book for the first time in a long time to see that :D
