Does anyone know what kind of game SS4 will be? Just more SS or is there a new twist?

Ancient-Red-Dragon: They censored the harpies in SS 4 in accordance with their SJW sensibilities. So hopefully it never comes to GOG. Ideally, it would never release at all, as there are already way too many 'woke' games like that which are saturating the market and ruining the industry.
Come on now. You don't know if that has anything o do with being woke. It may just be old fashioned, run of the mill, pandering to the puritanical nature of US censors who think tits are more detrimental to a young mind than excessive violence.

Read my first reply to him. It was basically just a big misunderstanding but people instantly blew it into insane proportions (as usual).

But to reiterate, the covered model was made because the game appeared on a GDC talk some time ago. The release version will have the uncovered model.

And let's please not derail this thread further down that rabbit hole.

I read your comment, I was making a separate point to illustrate that he was jumping to a conclusion. I don't view discussing aspects of a game being released in a thread about said game being released as derailing the thread, but I suppose with how some people treat that subject it could quickly devolve, so fair enough.
SS3 is a great FPS and the dlc was also pretty good. It's a tough game but CroTeam knows how to make a good game. Hopefully they'll come to GOG one day.

It is technically on topic, yes, but once talking about it starts it usually does have a tendency to quickly get out of hand. So better stay on the safe side.

Considering how openly hostile Croteam seems to be towards GOG or anything remotely resembling DRM-free, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Indeed. They put DRM into the Epic version of The Talos Principle even though it was literally given away for free...
They did not find it necessary to release on GOG: Serious Sam 2,3, Revolution, HD, Fusion.
So I'm going to make a wild guess and say they're also going to skip this one.

There is only 11 answers to your post on Steam but it's already interesting....

"Gog? Why would it release on there? Does anyone use it?"

Seems like for most Steam users, we are only 10 people using GOG worldwide and we only play old DOS games.

"I used gog once and seen they charged me a 10 dollar foreign fee on a 6 dollar game. Never again will i use gog. Total rip off."

Isn't that foreign fee a thing you have to pay on the most famous cd-key reseller website ? Why is he implying that it's GOG who scammed him ?
Good time to get SS games on gog.

This unfortunately seems to be true. They are also heavily invested into Steam stuff like Workshop and most of their games are only there.

Still, the first two Encounters are here. The question is, how they got here in the first place and whether or not the other games can get here the same way.

If not Serious Sam 4, then 3 + Jewel of the Nile would still be great. As a 9 year old game, it would be a prime candidate for a GOG release.

Huh, I didn't even know Devolver was listed for those two now. I know it was a different publisher originally... maybe Strategy First? I don't quite recall.

IIRC, it was originally GoD (Gathering of Developers).
Reviving this momentarily just to say:

Thank you Croteam. I honestly did not expect the stars to ever align, but it's good to be wrong sometimes :)

Guess we can close up that wishlist entry :D
