Best of luck.

Also, in regard to aspect ratio - that I have no idea on how to edit (or even if it can be). I know the game has that crappy "Widescreen: Yes/No" toggle in the settings but I never bothered with it and I never edited anything in any of the files that messed with the aspect ratio either.

I have the same problem with Unreal Tournament 2004 with the weapons a bit zoomed in because its so hard coded to the aspect ratio it was designed for (4:3)

But I think there are easier methods to fix that.

Are you sure? I play UT 2004 regularly (16:9, 2560x1440) and did not notice anything wrong. Are you sure you don't have "small weapons" toggled in the options? I think it is on by default.

EDIT:
Nevermind. I looked up some screenshots and I guess I don't quite see the full weapon models (although close). The problem is that the solution requires you to put FOV to 106, which is way too much. I hate the fish-eye effect. I'd rather play it in 4:3 than do that.

I toggled off small weapons and that just makes the guns even more bigger.
