adaliabooks: Hmmm... I once made an apple pie with Pilau rice spice because I had no cinnamon or ginger and it was pretty tasty, but I'm not sure that's quite the same as putting hot sauce on it...

The next question is why did you make apple pie if you have no accompaniments for it?
Do you have eggs, milk and sugar? You could make custard (it wouldn't be quite as good with just milk instead of cream, but I'm sure I've done it in the past)
Ginger in an apple pie sounds tasty. I'll have to try that.
I didn't make it, my father did.
I don't have any milk. Actually, to make a list of edible/potable things I have: the apple pie, hot sauces, water, ice cubes, raki (booze), brown and white sugar, coffee (instant), tea, honey. That's it I think. Well and olive oil, salt, pepper, vinegar.

snowkatt: i doubt you will slather that thing with all your hot sauces

sunshinecorp: Must you keep supplying me with all those exploitable words?
I'm trying so hard to be a gentleman!
if you have to try you are not a gentleman ;p

I highly recommend it (cinnamon is my favourite spice with apples, but ginger, nutmeg or allspice are good too).

Same question to him then :P

That's not a great list of items. You should probably go food shopping...
But in the mean time drink the booze and eat the pie, it's the only option.

sunshinecorp: I have some seriously good apple pie but don't have any ice cream.
What should I do?
Watch the movie "American Pie" for some ideas.

sunshinecorp: You fucking like nothing, snowkatt. Seriously. YOU LIKE NOTHING.

snowkatt: didnt i just mention custard pie eh ?!

but no i dont like mushy baked apples
i prefer my apples to be raw and firm
I'm with you on this. Apples should be raw, juiced, or in certain specific instances, puréed. There's no better way to ruin a perfectly good apple than heating it up.
Ah, didn't read the thread just the OP and the movie immediately came to mind. :)

Can't a man change his vile ways by trying?

I'm covered. This covers me.

You probably just haven't had a really good cold cheesecake, as opposed to the baked ones. The baked ones can also be good, but I think they're easier to mess up. Only about half of the baked ones I've tasted were any good

I've never had or heard of a baked one. :)
But the cold ones are heaven. HEAVEN.

Amen brother... It's why the following question is so difficult for me to answer: "A life without chocolate flavored desserts, or a life without none-chocolate flavored desserts? Which would you choose if an alien overlord that has conquered earth forces you to choose?" One the one hand, chocolate mouse cakes, and on the other hand, cheese cakes.

If they weren't called cheese-cakes, then cheese would be the absolute last thing that cheesecakes would remind me of taste wise.

Also, I've only ever met two types of people who don't like cheese: those allergic to dairy, and those who have seen cheese under a microscope. There's a rumoured third category, for those who don't like the taste, but I think that's just a wacky urban legend
