Huh... well I guess for MMOs and things they normally run separate servers for each region. Could just be that they don't run a server for Asia so they region lock it so people don't complain about unresponsive servers? For a game dependent on a remote server, I can sort of see that as one of the few justified reasons for region locking.

so, does anyone still play this gem-of-a-game? I didn't succumb to switch to The Secret World Legends because I'm still not finished in the Transylvania region (third part), and I'm still enjoying it so much!

I play completely solo (thanks to some build advises I was able to create a character capable to take care of herself) and as most of the players moved to SWL, this plays almost like a classic RPG... with the fantastic quests, lore and environments

let's hope that Funcom doesn't end the old servers, I really really want to know what awaits me at the end :D
