Okay, this might not really be worth a thread, but it really is to me one of the funniest things in comics in a while. (SPOILERS) It turns out that Captain America is a nazi, but what really cracked me up is the flyer Hydra was apparently giving out in the 20's. Secret Meeting! Citizens Welcome! Yeah, this is secret as fuck :D Also, not sinister at all :D
...I think you should let me call you a cab.

...(Wait for it)...

You're a cab!!!
AHAHAHAHAHAHA--[gunshot]

Wait, what? I'm really confused. Is this a complete reboot of the character? Or is this a continuation of the character from the existing comics universe?

Oh, and seriously, you'd think Hydra would have used something a little less stereotypically evil for their flyers.
I feel unsafe.
sometimes I touch myself .

Why only sometimes?

And I thought Captain America was dead because he fought against the Patriot Act or some crap. Ah, who cares. They'll just resurrect him as a dysmorphic black gay woman in a wheelchair who will fight against global warming.

It's a continuation. Of course in a few months it's going to turn out that really he a triple still working for SHIELD, or that it's an evil clone, or whatever. But right now they pretend that Captain AMerica was a Hydra agent for the last 70+ years.

Secret flyers! Eyes only! Very hush-hush!

I think the saddest part about this is that some people took this seriously enough to wish the writer death in social media.

Looking at the local neo-nazis, I must say this is sadly very true to life. From glue-soaked flyers slapped onto subway cars and escalator lights to not!facebook invite spam, nazis aren't particularly subtle.
Hail Hagan!
But seriously, it seems the bar for calling something a death threat has become quite low. Apparently single word Tweets like "die" are now a threat.

May the 78.74 years of your life expectancy as an American not be entirely reached in a fulfilling manner.

They kind of are, when addressed to public people during a shitstorm. There absolutely are people who express their sincere wishes that, e.g. abortion doctors got lead poisoning, fully expecting and hoping someone acts on their wish. There are currently some fuckers suing PP on behalf of the murdered people whose argument is that the sincere wishes were a serious enough threat for PP to move into Cheyenne mountain, which they neglectfully didn't do.

Did you look at the article? The examples of the so called "death threats"...all four of them...

"die rat die rat die rat die rat die rat die rat die rat die rat die rat die rat die rat,"

"die"

"Kill.your.self"

"die" [again]

If that is the bar for death threats, there are probably many people on this forum who have been issued public death threats...using the most ridiculous definition ever...
