Normally fascists don't get a chat at all. They just know who the other fascists are and who is hitler. Sitting at a table when playing this game IRL, they can't chat either.

Yes but ofcourse forum mafia has options that face to face mafia doesn't but I suppose having day chat would weigh in the fascists favour but there's no day chat here apparently.

Webcam? I've never done it with that, but I've played plenty of Secret Hitler (and other hidden-role games like Resistance or One Night Ultimate Werewolf) online using voicechat via Discord. In all honesty, the main problem with forum mafia for me is just the lack of speed where it's weeks of play for what takes only around an hour in real life. The lack of voices is part of it, but the slowness is a good 75% of the issue. Even One Night Ultimate Werewolf took days on the forum when it's only about 10 minutes in real life (if even that). That kind of slow speed requires a far different strategy/gameplay style that I'm not used to and I find frustrating.

Secret Hitler is a bit of a different beast than Mafia. It's closer to Resistance (and is in fact a modification of a game, Avalon, that in itself is a modification of Resistance). Check the link to the rules posted on the first post. The fascists already have a considerable advantage with there being 11 fascist cards and only 6 liberal cards in the deck.

That all makes sense. I played the last Secret Hitler game you organised. The board seemed to vastly favour Liberals that time. Ofcourse once a fascist plays a fascist card he becomes suspect. I think I prefer SH to Mafia because people aren't killed off so quickly.

The reason I like playing the Fascists/Mafia role is the whole deceit element of it but admittedly I messed up on my first attempt at it.
