Greetings:

I;ve searched the forums as best as I can but I don;t see this asked or referenced.

Is there a method of searching for a specific gogmix?

I ask because I see a couple of ones listing games done by certain Let's Play folks and was going to add one that I watch.

I've gone into games that he has on his list but I don;t see such a gogmix listed. I would like to make sure thought before I start.

Thank you for your time,
-drmike

No, I don't think there is.

I haven't found one when I searched as well, but instead found a wishlist for it existing.

Hello.

There is no option to search for a GOGmix from GOG itself. Your best bet is to make a Google search.
Also take a look in this thread: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_gogmix_central_thread_sharepromote_your_gogmixes_here

As the others already said there is no real search. So I always use google and put in
site:gog.com gogmix xxx
where xxx is either a username or a topic etc depending on what gogmix I'm looking for

If you use "site:gog.com/mix" (no need then for "gogmix" as a search term), that should avoid all the results about GOGmixes (like this thread!) and just return the mixes themselves. :)

Oh nice, did not pay enough attention to realize that. Thanks for the info :-)

Also, if you're looking for a mix by a certain user, use "[username] says" (including the quotes), where [username] obviously is the user, removing the square brackets, in order to ensure that you didn't just happen to find a mix by a different user but the "more GOGmixes" list included a mix by the user you were looking for (provided said user made a comment on at least one game in their mix).

Maighstir: [...] (provided said user made a comment on at least one game in their mix).
If they didn't do at least that, their GOGmix probably isn't very worthwhile anyway. :D

Thank you for the suggestions. Yes, I;m aware of the google option and should have said that I was aware of that. I work for a webhosting company that caters to soccer moms and have had to explain that many times myself. I was looking for a more direct approach as I know google misses a lot.

Thank you for your time and effort.

There is one indirect on-site method to find a particular mix: as long as you know at least one game that is definitely in the GOGmix you're trying to find, you could just go to that game's store page and try to find the mix in the list of GOGmixes containing that game on the right-hand side. This is only reliable if the mix in question has gotten some upvotes, though, or if the game you're using to find it isn't in too many other mixes.
If you know part of the name of the mix, on the other hand, or the GOG username of the mix-maker, the external search is your best option.
