I guess stupid question, but where do you access any screen shots taken in the game?

Depends on game and operating system, which you have not told us about.
Easiest method no matter the game:

PrintScreen key - open Paint - Ctrl + V

Sorry

Not sure if technically a screenshot. You are able to take pics in the game, but I don't know how you get them afterwards.

A quick search says they should be in your Pictures folder (in the user directory).

Did you know that Microsoft's shortcuts differ between languages? I forgot all shortcuts around thirty-five years ago since my head cannot remember them in three, four different sets.

Actually doesn't work for all games. Darn annoying.

I'm actually not sure. The main difference between my native and english keyboard is the swapped position of Y and Z (QWERTZ). So can't say. Though it does affects things like CTRL+Z (back), so it is possible I'd guess.

True. Anything that uses a wrapper or DosBox games, it does not. They have to be running natively in Direct, otherwise you get a black screen.

Thanks. ChatGPT seems to think they are saved in my computer's directory. \Documents\No Man's Sky\Screenshots\
For DOS game screenshots I usually change the game to run in a window instead of fullscreen then screenshot the desktop and crop it.

That is an option, yes. Windowed, you can usually screenshot whatever. It's mostly fullscreen games that do not run in native Direct that can't be screenshot that way.

Yes, a DOS game running in 240p makes for a tiiiiny screenshot which looks silly on modern screens.

That's annoying. They should just follow IBM's Common User Access standard.
