StarChan: Off the top of my head, I cant't recall a sci-fi strategy game that doesn't have one.
I could be cheesy and call forth fleet games , or 4x ones ( battlestar, gothic armada, ancient frontier, polaris sector, stellaris )

But i could also point out games such as Grey Goo or Final Theory or Star Hammer

but.. another but, lets be real here.. either your sci fi or your not and you good sir probably are more at home in current times, ancient times or fantasy times ;)

O God, gimme moar of this!

BTW, I never played any C&C beside Tiberian Dawn/Sun and Red Alert 1-2. Are newer parts good enough to have such a glorious name as C&C?

Tiberium Wars is pretty nice.
and RA3 is... let's call it "specific".
still, I'd say, yes, good enough.
(didn't even touch Tiberian Twilight.)

C&C 3 and its expansion are pretty good and I'd say they well earn the C&C name.

Red Alert 3 is the breaking point. Some like it, some hate it but I still had a ton of fun with it. Especially the Commander's Challenge in the expansion (Uprising).

Nothing past RA3 exists :).
Odium a.k.a. Gorky 17...
I seem to remember units in Incubation: Time is Running Out (Battle Isle series) had some flamethrower options...
There's the utterly forgotten War Front: Turning Point, a game so obscure it's not even on Steam. I remember it as a charming and colorful, if somewhat half-baked, RTS. It's retrofuturistic WW2 and does indeed have at least one flamethrower unit.

Battletech allows you to mount flamethrowers on your mechs.

Ditto for Templar Battleforce.

krakataul: Incubation: Time is Running Out
What a game! I remember I had a blast playing it, well, about 20 years ago. I don't count it as 'strategy' though, I'd name it 'tactics'.

TentacleMayor: Templar Battleforce
Yeah, I have it on Steam. Kinda Space Hulk rip but with some good ideas. Although I never played it enough to see flamethrowers :) And it's tactics too, not strategy.

Infested Planet (http://www.rocketbeargames.com/infestedplanet/index.html) got flamethrower units
I think Incubation had flamethrowers. Turn-based sci-fi tactics ... it is available on GOG with one of the Battle Isle games.
I too recommend Infested Planet, an excellent game. I didn't expect it to be so good. Still playing a few random maps from time to time.
Very cool! Thank you, guys!
