How did you get the star game converted to a code. Did you contact support of is there a way to do it automatically?

Yes I contacted Support and they converted it into a code for me.

I had no idea about trading thread. I Have bought several games (in bundles) I will never play. I know now.

I was simply trying to be nice and give it away!

The only issue is that bots might grab codes dropped like that. Or even just ungrateful jerks. That's why it's usually better to say that you have the code and whether anybody wants it, and then send it through private Chat if someone replies.
