Now that GOG has the awesomeness of Galaxy and is currently having a pretty amazing sale, they've just about caught up with Steam. The only thing that holds me back from buying more GOG games at this point is the fact that I have to go dig up my wallet and punch in a credit card number manually for every order.

Is there a way to save a card for quick and easy use? If not, will this feature be added, or does GOG not want to have an extra temptation for hackers?

Currently, there is no way to save your credit card's number. If I remember correctly, GOG said that they don't save the details to avoid the possibility of your credit card's info getting leaked in the case of an account hacking.
I wish GOG had this option built in but recent account hacks and stuff I might stay clear of that for a while to see whats up with that and see if GOG has any plans to put that into the GALAXY client.

BUT! if you upgrade to windows 10, microsoft made a cool digital wallet type thing to keep passwords and shit in and maybe that can work with doing purchases with ease on sites like gog that dont save info like that?!? who knows but I wanna find out when it does come out :)

After awhile, you remember those numbers easily and can enter them without digging up your credit card. Just like you (hopefully) remember your own phone number (I know some people don't, e.g. my wife always has to ask me for her own phone number), similar thing. It takes me maybe 5-10 seconds at most to purchase a game from GOG.

I prefer GOG (or others for that matter) not to save my credit card info, for security reasons. So if they'd add that, please make it optional. Safe is always safer.
Do you really want other people saving your CC data? What if they get hacked... Larger companies were hacked also, so why would GOG be different. Remember the PSN hack? I'm not even really comfortable with paypal saving my CC info, but so far my experience with them was pretty good. I even had my account suspended while in Thailand because they thought someone hijacked it, but I've cleared it up with them in no-time.

Use a service like Paypal that saves your data. Then you checkout via Paypal instead of via your card and it only requires an additional sign in. It's free for you the buyer and they make their money by charging sellers a fee.

Indeed, thanks to GOG (yeah, really, this is the store I use most often by far) I now remember my credit card information.
With the recent batch of hacked accounts, you should be glad you can't store your cc or other payment information. If your account gets compromised, so will your payment data.
On the other hand if it's optional, people can choose for themselves.

I quite agree. I would not want any details held under the system, even if I was purchasing once a day or some regular time.
No way. I get a kick out of when someone comes in and insist GOG stole their card info or that somehow the site isn't legit because they keep their card info only to be totally befuddled when they find out the site doesn't do that. :P

Plus because Amazon does keep it, they have had to go to some extensive lengths to assure my safety. I am constantly getting emails from sites designed to look like Amazon asking me to log onto "Amazon" so that they can get to my card and go crazy. Now the poor people at Amazon have to spend half of their day warning their clients about these bogus emails. I think GOG has enough problems right now and they really don't need that.

I wouldn't mind it being optional with the default being 'Hells to the no'.
It's really annoying have to remove your card from Amazon after every order

Then again, if the option exists, many people will save it out of convenience, and with quite a few cards stored, GOG becomes a more interesting target (as if the current wave of stolen GOG accounts isn't enough, even if that perhaps wasn't a breach of GOG itself).

I don't want GOG saving my card data, period. Risk is not worth the convenience for me.

It might. However if GOG wants to draw more customers and especially those used to Steam, Amazon ,etc they might have to please possible customers with the same level of ease as those platforms do. Including storing payment info.
There's always tension between ease of use and security.

And here I was, waiting for the day that Steam catches up with GOG and finally stops trying to store my CC data.
