I have just made my first purchase here on GOG and i bought RCT, I didn't want deluxe but i was stuck with it. well i get it downloaded and it asks me to put in a loopy landscapes pack cd!? Like this is a digital download how am i supposed to have that?

Look I've spend 5.99 on this and i am very unsatisfied, I was directed to this site under the recommendation that i would have no problems. so far I've had every problem under the sun.

Please i will change my opinion greatly if someone can explain why this is showing up or explain a way to bypass it and gain the game, I don't care about the deluxe edition i just wanted the original RCT.

Im sorry if i seem like an ungrateful customer, i am not, i am just very frustrated at my dilema

I am on windows 10 unfortunately or i would have just used my original CD to play it but windows 10 DRM will not allow that, so i am stuck.

Possible solution:

You can contact GOG Support any time, and get a refund if the game do not work for you.
This is probably a Window 10 access issue. From the GOG support page:

"Game asks for CD

Make sure that your Windows user account has Administrator privileges, and thar User Account Control (UAC) is disabled in your operating system.
To do this, go to Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts and Family Safety -> User Accounts -> Change User Account Control settings. Move the slider to the lowest position ("Never notify") and click OK.
Afterwards, make sure to always launch the game with “Run as Administrator”.

If that doesn't help, contact Support. Susceptible games should all be patched against this kind of issue. "

Yes I've done that, It still asks for me to put in the loopy landscapes CD. I don't want this loopy landscapes whatever it is i just want to play the original RCT. If its some kind of DLC, I can do 100% without it.

The game you bought includes both Corkscrew Follies and Loopy Landscapes. It's why the game is called the deluxe version. Is it possible that you previously had the CD version installed? If so try uninstalling the game via Control Panel and then reinstall it again.

Yes uninstalling and reinstalling work! You deserve a raise!

Excellent. You should mark the appropriate reply as the answer for anybody else who has this issue.

steeltoelion: but windows 10 DRM will not allow that
Can you elaborate?
Nice that you got it working but do try playing the Corkscrew Follies and Loopy Landscapes after you beat the original rct1 scenarios. They are very worth it and made with lots of challenging love,it feels kinda different to play some scenarios then the usuall which is a good thing.
But you will need a lot of time to beat all scenarios + the add-ons which i did beat already, only i ignored the extra scenarios like real parks and dlc.

Retail copies of RTC use SafeDisc DRM, which was one of a number of DRM schemes blacklisted by a Windows update to prevent its drivers being installed. On the upside, that means that none of the security holes they open up can infect your PC. On the downside, it's difficult if not impossible to install and play those games on a patched copy of Windows 7/8, or any Windows 10.

BlackMageJ: it's difficult if not impossible
Signing the drivers takes a bit of effort, but not more than installing and configuring a DOS game through DOSBox. Do ask if you want links on how to do that.
