tremere110: They did this with movies before. The multiple storefronts and exclusives led to this.

It seems these storefronts just don't learn. In the long-term this will likely help GoG. As piracy increases, DRM will become more intrusive driving more people into GoG's niche market.
They needed studies on this, could have just asked, it's as simple as can be. I don't watch most tv anymore purely because every show is on some different system.

To continue the Off-Topic:
I´ve never been a huge TV-fan, but I´ve got a problem with the industry as well. Where are DRM-free movie downloads? Disks with their limited bandwidth as well as streaming with it´s limited bandwidth aren´t an appropiate format to deliver movies on in general. On top of that, you can record movies from the television legally, DRM-free and in higher quality then on DVD, but just cannot buy them even on that quite poor level of quality. That´s some real shit.

Back on topic: So far, it doesn´t look like any new votes have folded in on this wishlist entry since I voted. (8 votes) Vote, vote, vote, if you´d like it!

I just keep reading the title as "The StarWars are coming" and fearing why Hollywood would do a silly thing like combine two words together.

Well, as the term StoreWars is used by the media, I just picked it up...

No I completely understand why it is as it is, it's just my mind wanting to trick me into reading it completely different.

Oh, okay. Thanks for the clear up.
Steam Link's being discontinued so that doesn't seem like a lasting argument at least

Only the SteamLinkHardwareBox, not the software, has been discontiued. Therefor it´ll probably be a lasting argument...
