I have just downloaded Riven on my Windows 10 computer. I have not been able to save. Does anyone know what settings I need to use and how to make it save? Using ctrl-s or alt-s did not work.

So Riven was recently, as in very recently updated to run in ScummVM. As such, you won't be using the traditional saves. Instead, use the F5 key.
