Awolnation: ...
Give it a try, take some time - and you'll never come back to Windows, you'll see. I'm using Linux for almost 10y and still have contact with Windows. I'm amazed that anyone wants to pay for Windows and boot it for everyday use. Linux is faster, safer, easier, prettier and provide outstanding configurability.

I strongly recommend starting with Linux Mint and trying different desktop environments to find the one you prefer. Just check adamhm's instruction.

Oh, and we're on GOG, so I should add that a few years ago I noticed that gaming is possible and comfortable in Linux, which makes the last Linux disadvantage no longer valid.
I'm in for the following:

Pillars of Eternity: Definitive Edition
Icewind Dale
Risen 3 Titan Lords - Complete Edition

Thanks.
Continued thanks for doing the wrappers.

I'm in for:

adamhm: Time for another giveaway themed around my Linux Wine wrappers, as usual including some Linux games as well to support official Linux releases :)
Thank you for another giveaway! I'M IN for (in order of preference):

1. Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition
2. Risen 2: Dark Waters Gold Edition
3. Risen
low rated
I hadn't seen this thread, I would like to enter for:

> Pillars of Eternity: Definitive Edition
> Risen
> Risen 2: Dark Waters Gold Edition
> Risen 3: Titan Lords - Complete Edition

Thank you for your generosity!

A small update that could be of interest to Linux users. In one of his previous giveaways, Adamhm had shown us how to contact the developers to ask for the distribution on GOG of the Linux version of their games.
I contacted all of them, but so far no one even bothered to reply to my emails. I must admit that it left me very disappointed, and certainly their customer support sucks. I'm talking about companies like Deep Silver, so not only obscure indie devs, really bad for them.
Thank you for the giveaway and the good work as always! I am curious about this series so I'd like you yo consider me in for Risen.
Thanks for another giveaway!

I'm in for:
Pillars of Eternity: Definitive Edition
Risen 3: Titan Lords - Complete Edition
I want to be in, please, for:

> Risen
> Risen 2: Dark Waters Gold Edition
> Risen 3: Titan Lords - Complete Edition
> Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition

Thank you for your generosity and your effort on Linux support. +1 ^_^

I got a few replies, but none of them were positive, so it was only slightly more satisfying.

Also, I would like to add a few more items to the "What makes Linux great" list:

- Control: You are the boss of your machine, not Microsoft or Apple.

- Flexibility: I can tune and tailor the system my way. I have a lot of options to chose from. From embedded to supercomputers.

- Transparency: No data hidden in obscure binary formats. I have seen my systems broken many times and most of them I could restore it (well... broken hardware is a reality we can't avoid).

- Options. Say, how many filesystems does Windows understand? It may take you some time to understand what they mean (hence the newbie-friendly distros), but once you do, they are there, and you will want them available.

- It helps you grow: Being keyboard-friendly is quite nice. Don't be afraid of the black terminal with the blinking cursor. Should you want to dive into that rabbit hole, it will take you far. You'll be able to automate many things on your system in no time — everything is in place. In Windows you need a programs to do X, another program to do Y... In Linux you just chain thing together and get it done.

- Systemd: … I think I'll be trying a Gentoo next. Anyone care to share an opinion on a Gentoo derivative? Devuan? Slackware? *BSD? :-P
