I installed this game yesterday however upon attempting to start the game it does not launch and comes up with a black screen. Anyone else had any similar problems? Is there a solution to this? Perhaps support might be able to help me with this problem?

Always check PC Gaming Wiki for things like this, if you haven't. They have one crash fix listed: GOG is being annoying so just google it.

Are you running through galaxy? Have you the right set of extensions present, eg vcc ones? That seems to be a consistent problem with galaxy.

Yes going through GOG Windows 10 application. It's the only game I've bought that has not installed properly yet.

Try running from the installed icon without galaxy. There have been a lot of incidents recently where galaxy has not been installing vcc redistributables or other required components. It will likely come back with some dll is missing which will indicate a missing vcc. You can get them off M$ site:
