And yet he managed to become known and loved around the world for his music, his pizzas, and the game with the little tiles. He even had an effect named after him.

I suspect that phaolo might have been referring to the "Fats" part of the name. It's a nickname - he was known as "The Fat Man", or "Fats" for short, but his actual given name is Antoine Jr.
