Skysect: It's DRM-free on their site already. Get it from there?
I'd really like to buy a copy - but their supported payment options are a no-go to me. PayPal are criminals im my opinion so I boycott all of their services. I hope, that Ludeon will also publish on GOG at some time. GOG has much more viable payment options for me - like GIROPAY or PSC.
1.0 release confirmed for October 17th.

However, still no mention to GOG. Maybe we get a nice surprise that day, but i wouldn't give it a chance over 20%.
$30 with "no sale" policy seems too much for that game IMO..
Still a week to go. Although i may not get it right away , i certainly do hope it comes to GOG :) (that an Starsector)

Just realised I purchased Starfarer/Starsector back in 2012! >_>

Lone_Scout: I asked Tynan some time ago and he said it was very unlikely that Rimworld got released on GOG or Humble.
However, you can buy it directly from its page. DRM-free and regularly updated. The best option so far.
That's odd. The only reason I can think of depends on how integral Steam Workshop might be to the experience. The only other Steamworks feature it uses is Cloud and GOG has their own Cloudsaves option.

I suppose it's better to not have it if Ludeon won't have time to fix bugs on Steam, their own DRM-free version, and on GOG, but it is too bad.
I am refusing to touch this game without a GOG release.

But it's DRM-Free on their site

Edit: Ow wait, that argument already happened :p

The local version of "No Steam No Buy". I sympathize with the argument though, it's nicer to have all your games in one place, rather than to have to go to different sites/clients to get them. That said, with DRM-Free, that's supposed to be your local drive isn't it? Else what's the point of DRM-Free?
