Lets hope this is more a kind of "commercial answer" even before the game started to be relased (early acces or not) than a firm statement.

Hello there Tim,

While it is nice that the game is now available on GOG in a DRM free form, it is not nice that you implemented DENUVO into the game and only considered bringing the game here IF and WHEN the DRM would be cracked.

Customers don't like being treated like they're getting the leftovers, or being the backup plan.
I'm sure you yourself as a consumer wouldn't like being treated like that either, so I hope you and the rest of the team learn from this mistake and will make future games without any form of DRM in them.

Because of the stunt your team pulled with the Denuvo DRM the profit gained here will probably be low because some/most users (me included), even if they like the game, will be waiting for a nice sale before purchasing it because they have been offended by your team's actions in regards to DRM, others will probably not even consider it at all because of that.

Treat customers as pirates and they will crack and pirate your game. Treat customers with respect and they will respect your team and will be more likely to purchase your game and support your future endeavors.
A coin has two sides. Yours is one, but there's also the other side. Reward developers/publishers by releasing their games on GOG instead of 'boycotting'. Because what happens if a dev releases their game on GOGwith very low sales? 'Well guess I should not have bothered with GOG to begin with.'
Sure, give them hell all you like for faulty business practises in the past and certainly point out why people might feel upset for being treated the leftover, but at the same time reward them when doing good behavior.

If Developers expect high sales on GOG when releasing a game a few months after it has been released on other stores or when they release it because it has already been cracked so why bother updating the DRM and maintaining it, they are fooling themselves.
They need to learn to release on GOG simultaneously if they want higher profit. They need to learn to respect the users before the users will buy their product.

They will not learn to do that if we just accept constantly receiving games later than on other stores, gimped versions, late patches etc.
If they don't learn from their mistakes, it is their problem, not ours. They need to learn what they did wrong and not do that again in the future.

In case you didn't notice, all developers that have released their games on GOG at the same time as on other stores have been lauded and rewarded. All those that provided free updates and maintained support for their games are being appreciated and their games usually sell very well. The community rewards the developers that should be rewarded for doing the right thing.

Just a small answer to let you know that you have at least one house and several people whom you gave hapiness and some kind of relief with dreamscapes and a kind vision.

Best regards <3
