While I really like the Raspberry Pi concept (I have 2 pi's), at this time is not the best/cheap/most effective way to emulate. The raspi 4 cannot emulate PS2, Wii and Gamecube. If anyone want to emulate the so called "retro-games", as already pointed out, a Android phone or tablet with a bluetooth controler is awsome for hadheld. Another option is your own PC with Retroarch as a program or you can run Batocera from a dedicated hard drive or USB.
Not everyone likes typical colorfull Nintendo games but runing Gamecube games at higher resolution, on the PC is nothing short of amazing, putting to shame many modern games on the way they look. (eg. Zelda Wind Waker)
Batocera is Linux based and can run in pretty much any computer, even from a USB pen drive.
As for games, PS2 Wii and Gamecube discs are very cheap on second hand shops. With 5 Euros it's possible to buy Tekken, Gran Turismo, Metal Gear and probably will have some cents to spare. Of course, you can test all the demos before buying the games...
