It's good that FSR is available also on Nvidia's GPUs, but the quality drop is quite significant from what I've seen (on both Nvidia and AMD GPUs). I think that DLSS still gives a better effect. The quality is only slightly worse than without the technology. I can't say the same about FSR at this point unfortunately. The hardware tensors probably make the change. Although I expect FSR to improve in time and of course we have to remember that it has the advantage of being available even on older hardware. It's still a great technology nonetheless, as it allows to play more demanding games on worse PCs.

BTW, if you are using linux you don't really need to wait for FSR support in your games.
You can inject it manually:

CA switching side again.... not sure what's up with the constant switching of companies to advertise with... Like Warhammer 1 was AMD all the way, 2 went for the 9 series i7, and now it seems 3 will at least see some AMD gpu thingy passing by in the intro.

But yea, that is the least to expect. That engine of theirs can be horrible, consumptuous in the weirdest of places. I understand that the Vortex in ME is a place of graphics heavy, as are those jungles compared to the desert, but that silly little place in the Dwarf mountains near the Empire.

On the side, i'm curious to see what problems they will face now during release. Warhammer 2, Three Kingdoms and Rome Remastered all had several months of various game breaking bugs for me. Troy was the only one which launch went pretty uneventfull

FSR was added in the latest beta for X4, which is Galaxy only on GOG.

A powerful enough computer to play X4 Foundations but with a graphics card, with at least 3GB* of VRAM mind you, struggling, sounds like the kind of pc that they added FSR to the game for.

*The game demands a minimum of 3GB of video memory. That should be stated in the minimum requirements but it is not.

FSR does clearly not have as good results as the later versions of DLSS (say like 2.1) but yes, it working with more graphics cards is nice. I, for one, do not have a modern Nvida card but also do not need the FSR as the lowering of a few graphics settings firmly placed the bottleneck elsewhere. I do not even like super high antialiasing in text heavy games.

They don't really need to state that explicitly though since if you're going by the listed requirements you cannot have less than 3GB of VRAM.

(The stated minimum cards are 780/ 970 which have 3GB and 3.5 (4 counting gimped) GB of VRAM respectively. The AMD equivalents all have more than 3GB as well even if you go right back to the 7970 released two years before the 780 but with the same performance; and the later releases roughly equivalent to a 780/ 970 whether Fury, 280, 290 or 480 all have 4GB minimum as well).

It seems there is nothing confirmed as yet. The system requirements are known. Check out this pcgamesn article from 3 days ago.

120 GB's of storage space!! Double of what WH 2 needed

DD & Ji Ji: Is this only for linux ?
works on Linux and windows
you only need to select the graphics settings on AMD FidelityFX (keep in mind if you use NIS) those 2 do not work but i think FSR works better then NIS
