Goodbyes are not forever (and war never changes).

It's not the first time we give this advice, but remember to take your Rad-X pills, try not to mistake a G.E.C.K for a gecko (not even remotely the same thing!), and take good care of yourself out there in the wasteland: Fallout, the premiere post nuclear role playing game franchise, is back.
The Fallout games have been with us on day one, and they played an inseparable part in defining the early GOG.com catalog. When they got swept away by radioactive winds, a gaping hole the size of California was left behind that we haven't quite been able to fill... until now!

Once again, you can pick up all three RPG classics at 66% off in a single post-apo bundle that includes:
--Fallout
--Fallout 2
--Fallout Tactics

We're welcoming Bethesda Softworks to GOG.com with more bundles, and tons of new classic releases - all DRM-free of course - and don't forget that two The Elder Scrolls classics (The Elder Scrolls: Arena and The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall) will drop like a bomb straight into your library, completely FREE with any Bethesda purchase. The bundle promos end on Wednesday, September 2, 12:59 PM GMT.

Stream watch:

SirPrimalform: Still shitty if the Interplay customers weren't singled out on Steam but are being here. It does make a difference, see below:
Well yeah, I'm saying that Bethsoft are basically asking gog customers to pay for what was already free (fan-made patches).
That's strange it say's I don't own these games on GOG? But I do.

No, you own the Interplay version so Bethesda hates you.

And Fallout comes back home;)

JKHSawyer: The release here is the "Bethesda" version of the game thats on Steam. So widescreen support and such is built into it.
Are they also the uncut American versions or still the cut European version (no children)?
avatar
Crosmando: Funnily enough, the only "updates" that Bethsoft made to Fallout on Steam was using the HD patches made by fans.
I thought that was how Bethesda patched all their games.
:P
Come on GOG, the Fallout games were the first games I ever purchased here. Tell me why I don't get these newer versions for free since I owned the old ones.

GOG customers are second class citizen, they remind it on every news or change on the site.
Now that i think about it, the only sad thing is that so many reviews of Fallout 1 & 2 & Tactics lost when Bethesda pulled the plug back then.

edit: Any chance they're still stored somewhere in the servers?

So, that's why you were and still are coming here... :)
Arena and Daggerfall have been basically free since their 15th anniversary, in 2009:

A few days ago i remember seeing a note that they were renamed to 'classic', probably in preparation to this. Glad to see them back, but i know i'm not re-purchasing them just for the bethesda minor updates.
Welcome back!!! ♥
