If I enjoy Blackguards I & II, what would you suggest?

For this search, I'm most interested in fantasy, but will entertain other genres.

Expeditions games, like Expedition: Viking, Conquistador, Rome, those are not exactly fantasy but have similar kind of turn based combat on hex grid like Blackguards. Also they're great games :D

Possibly Banner Saga, but it has a lot more oregon trail management

Have Realms of Arkania games on Steam. Have been waiting on them to go on sale here on GOG. It's seemingly been a long time. Done! Been playing II on console as well. ;) Thanks for the suggestions. Have the Divinity and Banner Saga games on console. Might give those a go again.

I liked them both very much, too (well, 1 more than 2).

AFAIK, there isn't anything quite like them, but you might want to consider other story-driven turn-based tactical RPGs (my favourite genre), such as:
- Fae Tactics
- Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark
- Druidstone: The Secret of the Menhir Forest
and somewhat different, but still in the same genre:
- King's Bounty series
- Fantasy Wars
