A game I had never heard of, Sublevel Zero, appeared in the Insomnia sale. I clicked the picture (not the "Buy Now" button), thinking it would take me to the store page so I could see things like what genre the game is, how well it is reviewed, and its system requirements. Instead it took me to checkout with the game. From that page there was still no means to access the store page for the game.

So I said fine, I'll just cancel the order. Except there is no way to remove the item from your cart, as GOG doesn't treat the item as being in your cat.

So my request is two-fold; please provide a link to the game's store page, either from the front page or the checkout page, so people can make an informed decision when purchasing. And two, as these items are limited in supply, please give the option to remove the item from your cart/cancel the purchase, so someone else who is interested can buy the game.

Thank you.

I second this!

A link to the game page would be great. For this type of sale, it would also be nice to be able pay for a group of games at once, instead of one at a time, which results in a bunch of charges for small amounts.

Not deal breakers, but high on the "would-be-nice" list. :)
Yeah agreed, there's got to be SOME way to access the store page. You probably won't have time to research the games but it'd be perfect for those "hey wait, I think I recognise this" moments.
Yep. Would be nice to have a quick way to check what the game was about. Shouldn't be too difficult either to make the picture take one to the store page and the 'buy' button take one to the buy page ... like one would expect.
Yup. It's pretty annoying to have to use the search bar to look a title up.

That coupled with such a tiny amount of limited copies available you can tell they're really working on that sense of urgency and scarcity to make us blindly buy games.
While I completely agree with the OP, I think the method GOG is using is due to the way the sale functions. Since the sale is based on limited quantities, they are bypassing the normal store page in order to keep count of the units sold, separately from normal sales. I'm sure they could find a way around that while still using the regular store pages, but this was probably easier.
