(I'm only making this thread because, in some other thread I don't remember, there were some people interested in Remorse: The List and were thinking of getting it when on sale. I do realize they may have already been reminded of it via their wishlist.)

Alternatively I'd suggest grabbing the Heroine's Quest Dev Appreciation Package (slight %15 discount) or Pajama Sam Vol. 1 but be aware it has 2nd class citizenship due to missing languages. (PS Vol. 2 has one great game in it - "You Are What You Eat", worth $7 imo but also has missing languages.)

I might bump this thread once just for a greater chance of giving the relevant people a chance to see it, but please feel free to just let the thread die if it's annoying.

Also for your consideration is the dev's Discord for help if needed:

I see that Ad Infinitum is listed in the suggested titles at the bottom of the page for me. Is Remorse: The List a walking sim like Ad Infinitum? I refunded that one xS.

Yes, that was me, and now I stumbled upon your thread and just bought the game. Thanks for the reminder! :D

I'd call it more like first-person survival-horror with puzzle-solving. Plenty of walking or running around and you have to use street signs to find your way on the map.

The main guy who worked on the HL2 horror mod "Grey" (similar to Cry of Fear, even had the same voice actor; but both Grey and Remorse are quite a bit shorter) made Remorse. The Silent Hill series was an inspiration for all of these I believe.

Cry of Fear was made stand-alone a while back and is free on Steam btw.

Not inherently recommending it if it doesn't sound interesting, just trying to give info.

Cheers! I'd recommend the Discord above if you need help (although I haven't used that server in a while), or YouTube walkthroughs if need be, for a puzzle or boss.

Thanks, but I'm too proud for walkthroughs and prefer to grind through them. Even if the game takes significantly longer than with walkthroughs. :)
Thanks. I'll check out a few videos before I pull the trigger just to make sure :P
It's too bad that we still don't have other Humongous titles (apart from Pajama Sam games and Moonbase Commander) on GOG. And it seems like we might not get to see them anytime soon. So many titles are missing, especially games from Putt-Putt, Freddi Fish, Spy Fox, Backyard Sports series. At least Pajama Sam games are here, and it's better than nothing I guess.

Yeah, it sucks. At least many of the titles use ScummVM so they can be made DRM-free easily enough from Steam (don't know off the top of my head how though), but it sucks that despite having many of the Sams here for over 10 years at this point, the rest of the HE adventure games never showed up.

As a fan of Humongous titles, I was really delighted when Humble Bundle offered a bundle offering most of their games (the biggest omission in the bundle was Backyard Sports series). And it was DRM-free. One of the best purchases I have ever made. They also came with Steam keys. The bundle was live in 2019 - over 6 years have passed!!

I really, really hope that GOG gets the rest of the Humongous games catalogue.
