I might consider to give Gog the benefit of doubt that about a decade ago they did indeed had some principals and core values; might even had cared. By now its just marketing BS for them. When Gog speaks values and principals these days I have the mental image of the Mouth of Sauron smiling. Hell, even when I look back when they had all the values active I now have that mental image.

darthspudius: FCKDRM is stupid and childish. It was a bad thing to do. Great for the immature teenage boneheads who actually find that appealing and love their buzzwords. Not so much for everyone else.
I'm not sure it is as simple as that.

That said, it does make me cringe ..... even though I always automatically think that way about DRM myself.

Aside from that, I can understand the potency of such a buzzword, and you need such to have any success with what you are promoting.

Just a sad fact of the world we live in. A fully mature world wouldn't have DRM anyway. Proper mature parents don't penalize one group of children because of the bad behavior of another lot. Applying DRM is the act of a scared and or greedy immature person, who has no concept about how things balance favorably in reality, when you extend trust.

Death and suffering aside, DRM is not that much different, to letting Terrorists rule your world, constraining you.
