Meh. Maybe it's because I'm much younger than most of the people here, but I actually LIKE remasters. It gives new generations, like me, a chance to enjoy the same stuff you guys did, but in a new, updated format. There's no way I would have been able to play DotT without this remaster, since all copies of it are so old that they don't run on anything I've got. While I could use an emulator, that's technically against the law if you don't already own the game in some other format, and most certainly not as convenient. Plus, after enough years have passed, technology improves in such a way that things which were simply weren't possible back then can be done now. Take Myst, for example. It used to be made up of a bunch of grainy stills. And now we have realMyst Masterpiece edition, which lets me explore the entire thing walking around freely and with cleaner textures and brighter colors, which is much more appealing. I'd much rather play that than the original because it's an improvement.
So yeah, I understand that it's the same old game with the same old concept, just with a fresh coat of paint and a few more bells and whistles, but what's old, overdone, and outdated to you is brand-new and exciting to me, who's never experienced it before.

That's a bingo.
