Establish a home for your industrious mice under the oppressive paw of your cat overlords – Whiskerwood is now available on GOG!

Carve mountains, traverse seas, and explore untamed new lands as you build grand cities – the ingenuity of the humble mouse is on full display in Whiskerwood as you establish elaborate automation systems to efficiently run complex production chains, all while dealing with the oppressive demands of your cat overlords.

Now on GOG!
A no-brainer for the resident cat people, I reckon.
Thanks again to Hooded Horse for the continued influx of titles.

"Earlease" ;)
Did we really need the "cat overlords" cliche? Why not just industrial mice? That seems cool standing on own.
Death to every feline oppressor, and peace to each peaceful rodent!

Whiskerwood is somewhat appealing, though, I do wonder if it is able to sufficiently distinguish itself from Timberborn. I look forward to reading feedback from owners (and viewing a bit of gameplay).

Seems to me like both are kind of a token effort in this case. I mean, looking at the trailer it looks like 80% of the time it's just these tiny humanoid figures moving among the buildings, could be mice, otters, humans or gingerbread men and you'd barely be able to tell.

I feel like for a theme like this to actually make the game stand out it would be better to focus on a single house/family and a distinct aesthetic, something like Brambly Hedge.

Especially since there is no cat to be seen anywhere in this game as far as I can tell. It could just as easily be the Mouse King taxing his own people and threatening them with lies about cats, which is far more likely considering that cats would just kill all the mice as food for cats.
"Timberborn", but with mice (instead of beavers)?

You must watch, read and play an very different subset of entertainment media than I, if you think of that as a cliché.
