Looks like some heavily dumbed down browser game with decent art

This looks great and sounds interesting. Wishlisted for now.
I think that modern "polygon" art-style clashes with the historical setting.
I don't think the art style is bad exactly- it's distinct and stylish and clearly part of the dev's vision, not just cheapness or desire to ride a bandwagon, but I personally don't think I could ever play it. I find the look terribly straining, like reading a text in very tiny print. Like I'm looking at a thousand distracting elements at once and can't see the whole picture easily.

i agree, however, if the images are darkened, reduce the gamma or so, and if they are not zoomed in or too large, they look okay, its the large graphics that make it look like some diamonds instead of faces.

Classic drawing might fit the game better, but maybe they wanted to give it a perspective look its much harder to do that if you use cartoon graphics then polygons.

Anyway take this simple and short but interesting visual novel : Project Pastorate , its quite cheap
but pretty good as a short game.

some art : check attachement : screenshot23.jpg

the art sets the mood perfectly in the visual novel , still have to finish the novel , :D
