If you’re in the mood for a 2D platformer – we have something for you. ViruZ, straight from Meridian4, is not out on GOG, and with a -50% launch discount! The offer ends on February 28, 2 PM UTC.

ViruZ is an exploration side-scrolling shooter where you take up the challenge in the depths of a top-secret laboratory. As the plot progresses, you’ll learn that the place was testing a novel kind of bioweapon, and something terrible went wrong – surprisingly though, you’ll experience the narrative from the monster’s point of view and fight for your right to survive, rather than playing the role of the traditional human hero saving humanity from a monster. You’ll use your unique skills to solve puzzles and take down enemies in your quest for freedom!

Now on GOG!
I can't believe the GOG curators turned down Freedom Planet 2 but said yes to this.
got excited for a second, but of course it's not this one:

Certainly a Carrion love letter, the price is very tempting.

WTH GOG!!! Is this for real?!

Freedom Planet is the best platform game i've played since Sonic, in fact I actually like Lilac more than Sonic!

Supposedly the devs said they wanted to bring it here, but it has been out for a while and still isn't here so I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

Between Freedom Planet 2 and Shovel Knight dig both not coming here I am starting to get quite annoyed at GOG. I swear if Sea of Stars doesn't end up here either I will throw a fit.

Anyway, more on topic, this ViruZ game looks pretty decent and the price is good. I will throw it on the wishlist for now and decide later if I want to go for it.

There is no evidence that GOG has rejected Freedom Planet 2; rather, the devs have hinted that they are waiting for a semi-definitive version of the game before submitting it to GOG.

You can buy FP2 at itch.io DRM-free.

You snooze you lose, GOG!
Looks like a budget version of Carrion.
It's not out? Okay then. Good to know.
I tried to look for gameplay video and it's only few of them. The first review on GOG seems unreliable because the guy never buy the game himself.

From the look of it, the game is a more like a simpler puzzle platformer.

Also no one realized this game looks similar to that flash game where an alien infest animals and humans and took their traits.
Why would I play this if I already played through Carrion twice?

I certainly hope this is the case!
Still remembering the Opus Magnum fiasco, and didn't even care about that game.
