Any reviews or feedback about Part 3? There's nothing on the game page and I'm still on the fence. The plot feels overly complicated and ambiguous, with a lot left open to interpretation. I've heard some reviews praise the puzzles and atmosphere, but I'm not sure if that alone makes it worth it

I've finished part 3 100% and loved every bit of it. The story is conplicated and ambigious but imo that is a very good thing because pretty often these type of games only offer gameplay without really caring about the story. I personally loved everything: gameplay, puzzles, atmosphere and story - including the conclusion. However the ending is not loved by everyone so you should be aware of this as well. I would simply advice you to try the demo (which I archived for such cases) since it is simply the beginning of the full game.

(Btw: Thank you for reminding me that I wanted to do a review for it - almost forgot it)

I appreciate your enthusiasm MarkoH01, which apparently sparked participation and now there are more reviews. I'll go ahead and complete the trilogy then. Thank you for your help all along!

You're welcome. I hope you will enjoy the game as much as I did.

Reading through the reviews not everybody sees it this way.

"Gameplay is fine; no innovation, no graphical improvements, exactly like the last two games, which is not bad thing. I actually appreciated that they kept the look consistent despite the fact that so much time has passed. But the combination of the lazy ending and the supremely lazy use of slop content generator engines burned through any goodwill or nostalgia that I had for the series."

So a game can get from good to bad just because it used the same engine and had an ending the reviewer did not like - amazing. Btw: The reviewer complains that ChatGPT is mentioned in the credits and it never comes to mind that some translations were auto translated first. A fact the dev never tried to hide - it's even mentioned inside the game that they used auto translation and then will rework them. Now most of the available translations already have been reworked already.

I take that particular review with a grain of salt because that user has only written 4 reviews in total, the fewest among all reviewers. Their comment 'Gameplay is fine; no innovation, no graphical improvements' is sufficient for me, considering the first two parts are solid in those aspects and don't really require innovation. I'd only start to worry if the review mentioned moon logic, impossible puzzles, dead ends, or bugs.
About translation, HOG often suffer from translating homonyms, which frustrates foreign language players. Even in English, picking the wrong 'bat' or 'nail' can be a real headache. The fact that no reviews mention translation problems is always a good sign! English can be trusted the most.

Therefore, I feel safe playing the third part expecting the same quality as the first two and looking forward to the story's conclusion. Here's hoping it's just as fun for me, thank you MarkoH01.
