The links here point at the wrong game too.

Here's the right one: https://www.gog.com/en/game/trenches_world_war_1_horror_survival_game

Funny that blurb at the end.. makes it sound like a demo or indev title:

'Trenches' is a horror game made by one developer at Steelkrill Studio. Please note this game is an objective-collection game with replay-ability. Your objective is to find and collect clues in the Trenches while having items such as the Trench Whistle to guide you while you are being hunted by the enemy. If you can, please submit your feedback and report any bugs and this will really help speed up the progress of the development by a bunch .. Thank you for trying it out.

It was in early access, I assume it's an oversight on Steam and GOG simply copies the description.

RELEASE DATE: 20 Jan, 2023
EARLY ACCESS RELEASE DATE: 19 Jul, 2021

For a moment I thought it's the one with dinosaurs. Unfortunately, it seems seriously lacking in the giant prehistoric reptiles department.
This looks interesting, but I'm sure it should be either "your breath" or "you breathe" here:

I hope that's not indicative of an overall lack of quality control in the game.

I'm okay with the release, but how about Night at the Gates of Hell and DreadOut: Keepers of The Dark too?

Obligatory advertisement for
1. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1016150/ (Won 4 2022 Oscars; rare for a German film)
2. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8579674/ (Won 3 2020 Oscars )
Seems like an interesting game, love war themed horror stuff like Deathwatch, The Bunker, R-Point etc, and the few games in the style (Necrovision and some areas in The Darkness).

The description - aside from still indicating it's early access - states that "enemies can hear you through your mic", as someone who doesn't have a mic connected to my PC, and have no interest in ever connecting one as I don't find the concept of voice communications in multiplayer games alluring at all - will I lose out on something by playing this without a mic? Are there any other voice/sound activated features in there?

Maybe more appropriate to link to war horror movies like Deathwatch ( https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0286306/ ), since this game seems to have no intention to be a serious world war 1 sim?

World War 1 had chemical weapons and new forms of torture as the Rules of War all but broke down, why add a cheap horror element to it?

Also, judging from the screenshots, this game is 90% unrealistic lens flares.

Note to artists: A lens flare is a camera flaw. Your camera is shitty if it produces one. If this is meant to be though the eyes of a person, you're just going to have to deal with not having them.
