Train Valley 2: Workshop Gems - Sapphire DLC is now available with a -10% launch discount!

Train Valley 2 is a train tycoon puzzle game that allows you to build railroads, upgrade your locomotives and keep the trains on schedule – all in adorable, colorful low-poly graphics. Train Valley 2 GEMs DLCs, though, introduce a series of community-made levels, picked based on the most playability weekly and monthly; we’ve already seen Ruby and Emerald, and now the time has come for Sapphire!

To celebrate the launch of this DLC, we introduce a special offer of discounts on the series:

Train Valley 2 – 60% off
Train Valley 2 - Myths & Rails – 35% off
Train Valley 2 - Passenger Flow – 50% off
Train Valley 2: Workshop Gems – Ruby – 30% off
Train Valley 2: Workshop Gems – Emerald – 10% off

Train Valley is attractive.
Awesome! Previous levels were so fun to play, I still have several of Emerald to complete. I bought the Sapphire right away anyway, but it applied a 20% discount somehow instead of 10%... You might check it. Thanks, GOG!
selling community levels is such a scummy move, even if they were 'rebalanced' or whatever. looks like they're also available on steam, which is even scummier since the workshop levels are already available there.
Unless they fixed the gimped GOG version to be able to run custom levels, this is the only way to get the additional content. Since I've been lied to by the developers, I'm not spending any money on this.
The latest changelog about the DLC is also available:

I am happy that further levels are made available on GOG (especially for GNU/Linux)
and that developers care about their product.
For this they deserve the money spent from all those who like the Train Valley series.

The problem with the workshop is that Steam uses it to force gamers to use Steam.
Those who founded Steam came from Microsoft (Wikipedia about Valve:
"Valve was founded in 1996 by former Microsoft employees Gabe Newell and Mike Harrington"),
so monopoly tactics were well know.

Thus the developers get this framework for free to have a worshop on the game plattform
90% use (as is published by marketing) or they must put own effort to create a workshop
and make those available on all plattforms. Guess what ...

While there were a nice percentage of GNU/Linux port, these vanishes - and GOG has
even less ports then Steam - while talking to game developers it is clear that Windows
binaries can work well under Linux via Wine and Proton - thanks Valve/Steam
for such nice bahaviour.
Using GNU/Linux to not fall prey to Mircrosoft but making sure everything is working
only on Windows (try creating an account on pure Linux system ... ;) - with trash code
on Linux if you want to play there.

So if you really want to blame those who is responsible for GOG customers not
having access to workshops or no longer getting superior game play under GNU/Linux,
look in the face of the game platform monopolist ... yes the other company whose name
it not to be spoken aloud.

And don't kick the devs who try to do their best to make GNU/Linux a competitor!
And of cause Steam customers are paying, they should be able to get the superior
collections of levels the same as GOG customers get them.

Thus I support Train Valley 2 with a smile and a clear thumbs up!
