Another great graphic adventure from point-and-click masters at Sierra.

Pick up this game for adventure fans of all ages, here on GOG.com for $5.99!

Even though Torin’s Passage was created by a Al Lowe, famous for King’s Quest III (available on GOG.com), Police Quest (available on GOG.com), and Leisure Suit Larry (available on GOG.com--no, just kidding.), is not an adult-oriented adventure, but a game for kids and the young at heart. This adventure game features young Torin, the son of a farming family who embarks on a quest to save his parents and defeat the evil sorceress Lycentia. What he does not know is that in actuality SOMETHING SOMETHING SPOILER SPOILER. We’re not telling you anything else, because that would ruin the story. So buy Torin’s Passage, a classic point-and-click form the people who know a lot about pointing and clicking for fun, available now on GOG.com only for $5.99.

Crystals columns, princes and princesses, an evil sorceress and her intrigues, and a shape-shifting sidekick--it’s not a unique story, but still an intriguing one. Filled with fast-moving animated action full of comical twists and surprises, lovable and outrageous characters, five unique worlds within worlds, and a heart-warming ending, this game may have been made for young adults but just like some of your favorite books, it may have been made for younger audiences, but anyone will enjoy playing it. With great puzzles that (for example) utilize the shape-shifting Boogle (if he’s in the right mood), a Disney-like story, and simple but not simplistic gameplay, Torin’s Passage is yet another fantastic creation from Sierra, and you need to get it now on GOG.com for only $5.99!

I'm fairly sure Codemasters owns all things Leisure Suit Larry related, and that includes the old games themselves.

And I'm not sure selling the old games would hinder the remake's success at all. It's going to be in high resolution, multiplatform, with new locations, a new girl to flirt with, new puzzles to solve, and with both Al and Josh involved there will be much more humor than there was in the 1987 and 1991 releases.

I've replayed Leisure Suit Larry I and V recently and a lot of response to possible interactions with your surrounding were generic "It feels like [object]", "You strike a short conversation with [object]" and "Don't do that to [object]!". I'm pretty sure Al and Josh will fix this and cram as many jokes and funny lines as they can imagine in the new release. I think there will be plenty of new material to justify replaying this game. Plus if we want more games like these, we've got to encourage those who makes them.

And if the new remake makes people pick up the collection, maybe Codemasters will be interested in investing in both remakes and whole new adventures for Larry.

Back on topic, I'm happy to see this game finding its way on GOG, I never played it but I'm in the process of climbing the food chain of Al Lowe's games in anticipation of the new remake, so that one goes straight in my shopping cart.

Never played this, but I believe I watched my middle school librarian playing this. Looked like a fun game from what I could see. I kinda vaguely remember seeing the CD case.... and this looks like the game. I'd wondered for years what it was.... always wanted to play it. I think I'll be picking it up once I've gotten my paycheck!
I'm playing it now! love it! very recommended :)

grviper: Point 'n' click adventure. Main attraction is your sidekick that can learn and turn into various shapes serving as a puzzle-solving gadget (like the caterpillar in the Whispered World but better).
First 13 minutes, intro, interface, animation, voices

Thank you, sir! Really!
Actually don't remember why I stopped playing. Or just finished? That was more than 10 years ago.
Even not real adventure point and click - still interesting.
I still have the CD for this game; it both entertained and frustrated the hell out of me as a kid. Definitely a wish-lister. :D
This is release of the week. Thanks for Sierra games.

Whaddya mean?
Does this game use dosbox? I searched and couldn't find any mention of whether it did or not. I might have overlooked something though. I also can't find a forum for this game. Did they forget to make one or is this game part of some series?

Thanks. I thought it used dosbox since I saw on the wikipedia entry that it was on a list of dos games but I know they've made versions for both dos and windows for some games (DK1).
Hi,

Does this game can be set with the voices and French subtitles?

Maybe with an unofficial patch?
