GOG.com: Release: The Siege and the Sandfox
Trailer ends a little abrupt.
But gorgeous pixel art.
Isn't this game published by Chucklefish?

Am I the only one who likes the old trailer of the game much more?

In the old version of the game, I really liked the lighting and color balance.

In the release version of the game, I see in all the screenshots and scenes that the lighting is too bright - even where it shouldn't be... And it's unlikely that this will be fixed. :(

In some scenes of the release trailer, the visuals are frankly strange - like at 0:34, 0:38, 0:41, 0:46.

Overall, it seems that in many scenes they overdid it with the color balance and lighting effects... It's a pity because the game itself is very good.
Thief meets Prince of Persia and the pure 2D metroivania genre in a middle east arabian/akkadian/sumerian fantasy context.

Maybe it needs a bit polishing and stability but the controls are very responsible and everything is atractive. I could think in potential lack of additions in gameplay compared with modern metroidvanias. But the game is nice, huge world and refreshing.

It is also interesting that the game is developed in Unreal 4. I cant remember a lot of examples of a 2D game developed in Unreal 4, maybe Octopath Traveller, slightly similar aestetically. But the truth is that there is not a lot of them if I am not wrong.

That blog post is from nine years ago. A lot can change in that amount of time.
