Since 1989 the series has seen numerous entries and spin-offs over the years, with different sub-series and story arcs within its large franchise. The Legend of Heroes games are known for their intricate, character-driven stories, and turn-based combat systems. They feature a rich fantasy world with a complex political backdrop and deep lore most often revolving around a group of characters on a journey and the relationships between them.

One of the most popular sub-series within the Legend of Heroes franchise is the Trails series, which consists of three different story arcs: the Trails in the Sky series, the Crossbell duology, and the Trails of Cold Steel series. Each of these arcs takes place in the same fictional world of Zemuria and features interconnected storylines, characters, and events.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie takes place five months after the end of the Great Twilight (final entry of the Trails of Cold Steel arc).

In this chapter, the intertwining fates of three figures in Zemuria will be decided, as you follow the footsteps of the war hero Rean Schwarzer, the liberator Lloyd Bannings, and the masked enigma "C".

You’ll be able to experience three different story arcs and switch between them any time with the Trails to Walk system. Plus, discover side episodes to fully flesh out the characters and world of Zemuria.

Moreover, you will enter the True Reverie Corridor, which allows you to encounter and recruit new characters from across Zemuria, enter randomly generated dungeons to test your mettle, and play a variety of mini games.

All of it is additionally topped off with the new United Front system presenting cunning tactics to prevail in battle and harness the power of your entire team to decimate enemies while empowering yourself.

The intricate story lines, great gameplay mechanics and rich universe of The Legend of Heroes series could take hours to present. But the only way to give justice to its amazingness is to witness it all yourself while playing. Check out The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie and immerse yourself in an extraordinary world of heroes!
Actually, after investigating all the factors involved, i do not want to pay "the asking price" anymore. It was, in some way a "short circuit" decision (in english you may say "sudden irrational act", which was artificially driven by the time limit they was trying to enforce) in my brain, because i love this series so much... i enjoy DRM free and for this reason GoG a lot, and in general i love a complete game a lot; on top of that i love Falcom a lot too... all those factors was leading me to a "short circuit" decision but i think... after a whole week of thinking about it... i would say it would not pay it anymore or even step back from doing so.

But the main reason why my decision is now opposite, after a good while "thinking over it": Because i really think NIS got a way to bad attitude and they do not deserve my support at all. They do deserve so few support that it actually does not matter anymore if the game is from Falcom, DRM free and simply "a awesome game", the general attitude is simply not making it worth it to me anymore... so in future i will step back from supporting it; in the case it will happen again the same way it is currently happening; of course. If they change matters and if they all of a sudden will act more friendly,... i may still change my opinion, but at the current time, and if there is no changes... i will not support it anymore: Thats it for me.

In this case i will rather pass on all the bonus content and i may even wait for a price cut for the main-game. We will see what happens with "Kuro no Kiseki"... this will become interesting and i will surely be way more critical yet; my tolerance has ended now.

It was hard for me coming to this decision but yeah... at a certain point someone else simply may not deserve a support anymore, no matter "the other factors".

However: There is a lot of stuff in my "daily real life" i do not want to pay, or surely not so much; yet i still have to pay a high price for many of my "living costs", which are increasing, year after year... so, there is a lot i do not "enjoy to pay", yet there is no other choice because those costs are simply part of my living and part of "what it takes to live like this"...; so there is still a lot of costs i think those are "way over any healthy common sense" yet it still feel the urge paying for it, because no better or no other choice. If i do not pay it, i simply may lose some valuable "quality of life", which is not a option to me. I am aware, after all... a lot of costs are driven by the greed from certain people and in my mind "unnecessary high".

We are yet at the peak of capitalism, however, this system in my mind is prone to fail and it is crumbling already because the "golden age" was around the millennium and after this point we was not able to achieve the same overall-quality in our work and creation anymore. There is always exceptions but overall... the general quality (quality does NOT mean quantity, this is something very different) in my mind was decreasing since decades already, but the general costs was increasing still.

Actually, i can live pretty well mainly using "good old games" as, great quality is a rare thing and only a handful of games are nowadays able to achieve it. Unfortunately, "Legend of Heroes" is one of the few quality-games left and it seems to be "milked" like crazy.

I got a "millennium" car from Japan, and i can clearly tell you, there was no better quality car anymore... Any car newer than this will fall apart way more soon, i am pretty sure.

Regarding my very expensive (500 USD) Motherboard which is destroyed in less than a year: It got many very awesome quality parts who might last over ten years, however... there is some very weak spots with junk-parts which was decreasing in quality since long time already: mainly related to certain chips and switches (some kind of processing units) and if they are going boom... the whole boards will explode... no matter how awesome all the chokes and capacitors seems to be. There was never so many weak spots on the hardware ever... i dunno who else was creating this mess.

Besides, i do recommend to buy the cheapest Motherboard possible (150 USD is the limit i say) as a backup (or even Backup-PC) so, if it goes boom then they will not try to repair this junk-board anymore (against capitalism and how it works) and so you will get instant-replacement. So.... paying more is in my mind a failure.

Actually, those processing-units issues (voltage regulator-, failure-detection- chips and such) is a well known issue on cheaper graphic cards, and only a few... including my expensive GPU, got better stuff attached.... which is worth every single unit. But in general, people lack the knowledge "finding" those issues and if so... almost never on a board. We simply love GPUs way more and think they are most important, but without a board... no GPU will ever work.

No intention derailing a topic, but you may have to understand the "whole picture" in order to get a "whole picture" of the current situation. So, actually, it is not always better to pay more... ultimately, only the masses will be able to make something move
