Are you looking for a quick boost of adrenaline? Excellent! Grab The Feast for free, along with its Chef’s Special - Digital Goods Pack and Raise a Glass - Tip the Developers DLCs!

The Feast is a short, intense experience, designed so that you, the player, can accomplish it in about 15-30 minutes (completionist ~2 hours). You meet with a theatrical setting, trying to survive a dark and peculiar dinner; you make decisions, weighing every action, with a possible outcome of 5 endings.

Chef’s Special - Digital Goods Pack DLC brings in extra content – wallpapers, posters, and an invitation-poster – while Raise a Glass - Tip the Developers allows you to further support the developers!

Get ready for the eerie dinner, now for FREE on GOG!

HunchBluntley: No listed system requirements on the store page, either. That section is just not there. Even for a free (base) game, that's not okay.
Huh? It's there. Minimal, but there. Windows 10/11. 308MB disk size. Not a lot of guesses, I'd think.

That is, if I had to guess without downloading it, renpy.

W3irdN3rd: I'm a bit confused. I thought the DLC would also be free ("Release: The Feast along its DLCs, for free!", "Grab The Feast for free, along with its Chef’s Special - Digital Goods Pack and Raise a Glass - Tip the Developers DLCs!") but it appears only the base game is free.

Maybe "Release: The Feast (for free!) along with its DLCs" and "Grab The Feast (base game) for free and check out its Chef’s Special - Digital Goods Pack and Raise a Glass - Tip the Developers DLCs!" would be clearer.
came here to say this.

got beaten to the punch.

anyway.

THIS.

[it's a very confusingly worded blog post.]
I have absolutely no idea what this game is about but it's already pretty clear that I will love it.

tremere110: Also, is that guy’s balls just hanging out in the screenshots?

Ice_Mage: I don't see any nudity. If you're referring to the attached image, depending on your resolution and zoom level, the tablecloth visible between his legs could maybe give the wrong impression.
Ah okay. I was looking at that image on my phone lol! On my computer it's clearly not what I thought it was.

Honestly I'm a bit disappointed, hah!
Interesting, "DLCs" are only available on GOG, not on Steam or Itch.

edit: now they're also on Steam. Still not on Itch.

Ditto! I went looking to see what you were talking about, and was wondering if what kind of looks like udders on the female is what you meant. No balls though. Balls!

The main problem is they have left a word out. "Release: The Feast along its DLCs, for free!" Feast along its DLCs? That doesn't make any sense.

What they meant to say was "Release: The Feast along with its DLCs, (some of which are) for free!" I guess missing the "with" out was an accidental Ctrl-Backspace and inadequate proof-reading.
DLC's still cost 19 hours after this post is made, whats the deal?
Don't see the problem.

"Galaxy along 7000 videogames, for FREE !!!"

Sounds legit.

No, seriously, it's a bit confusing in a "wait, which DLC, what am I doing wrong" way, but it's not deliberately dishonest given the nature of these DLCs (they are there for support, not for gaming content, and the tip-in-the-jar one would be absurd to be made free).

It's not as if Paradox had gone "Crusader Kings 2, along its 6500$ worth of core gameplay content DLCs, FOR FREE !!"

that's SEVERAL more words than one, lol.

but yes, totally.

i'm absolutely fine with the devs/gog charging for the dlc's.

but the blog post is poorly worded and that should be easy enough to fix [and should really have been caught in editing before posting.]

Yes. I'm just pointing out that, given the nature of these dlc, the poor wording seems accidental and innocent. If they were "game content" dlc, I would have suspected the wording to be deliberately manipulative. (And I would have looked at it very differently.)

I'm talking about the "System requirements" section that appears on the left side of basically every other game page, below the description and right above the "You may like these products" recommendations (or the similar "Buy series" section, where present). Even the very old games from 30 years ago have at least a boilerplate entry for minimum requirements (as they should).

Glad to see another free release for sure, but what about Heroine's Quest?

There's a $3 Developer Appreciation Package for it that could be included.

good call.

and since it's in line with "quest for glory/hero's quest" people will likely appreciate that, here.

fair enough and i agree.

i just wish they'd fix it. [not that it likely matters. the further along it moves down the news page, the less people will see it.]

Did I just give you the requirements out of thin air? It's not an old game, FWIW. If you really wanted to know more, we're lucky there's a Steam page for it.

There's a lot of nuance to this, but even that section you're talking about is not always accurate to pay attention to it. There isn't much to glean over that, especially if you are speaking of really old games. Rarely are the original requirements stated. I use other sources to figure it out.
