The Curse of Kubel Deluxe Edition from Kagura Games is now available on GOG with a -10% launch discount which lasts until March 25th, 4 AM UTC!

It is an adventure RPG which tells the story of a Capital City of Asserya, located in the mountainous commercial region of Kaldesta – where a mysterious archaeological site was recently discovered. However, an earthquake swallowed up the city and split it into two. Now the area is divided between north and south, and many adventurers travel there now in search of treasure. There’s news of a curse that starts infecting the adventurers. The Magician's Guild catches wind of this, and sends a young apprentice, Magetano, to investigate.

One of the few such Japanese games I've played where the writing was competent. Still has r though. Didn't *have* to, given the magical curse theme, but they throw one in there just to break the ice.

Your image was removed by a staff member. Did you take a screenshot after using a decensor patch, or are you not allowed to post images from games sold here as they're provided?

If I ever get into JRPGs, this might actually be the first of the Kagura games I am slightly interested in :D

It's not a JRPG except in the loosest of terms. The gameplay is more like a ultra-casual dungeon-crawler with bump-based attacking (you walk into enemies, they die, some mana gets used). It's also too easy for the game's length, no way you see all the H content playing the game normally (unless they balanced it for the Deluxe edition, doesn't sound like it though). No, you play this one for the decently-written corruption arc; the gameplay is naff.

Lesser Blight Elemental: One of the few such Japanese games I've played where the writing was competent.
