Stand in the way between your territory and destruction.

First-person sci-fi title Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri, the 1996 combat simulator, has just come exclusively to GOG.com and is available DRM-free for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

You, Nikola ap Io, are the one that will lead Strike Force Centauri into combat as what first seemed like the typical covert operation turns into a full-out assault. Choose between multiple types of suits, weapons, assistance modules and squad mates to follow your orders as the game pits you against all sorts of enemies - from pirates through psycho clones to tanks.

A variety of scenarios, weapons, mech and flight sequences, and more is what you’ll find in the classic Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri, now exclusively available and DRM-free at GOG.com.

What does the press say?

“A breakthrough in outdoor 3-D action sims, Terra Nova gives mech games and flight sims something to aspire to.” -- GameSpot

“Terra Nova is a good, fast-moving and atmospheric game - which is probably no surprise as it comes from the people who brought you System Shock.” -- PC Zone

“Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to work on my tank-busting skills provided only with a croissant, a simple blowtorch, and those new killer drone packs they gave me a couple missions ago.” -- Computer Games Magazine
Well, this was one heck of a nice surprise to wake up to.

Literally the one game I've most wanted to see on GOG since I joined. Recently emptied out my gaming fund, typically enough, but this is now my next purchase, no questions asked. One of the true brilliant gems of its day, and Looking Glass' most overlooked achievement. I'd urge anybody who never played this to give it a whirl if you like your shooters a little more thought-provoking or freeform, or if you like anything else Looking Glass did at all.

Thanks to everyone who brought this classic back, you really made my day.
In a sad continuation of the Looking Glass legacy, this game seems to be selling well below expectations. I mean, hell, if the bestseller list is to be trusted it got outsold by friggin' Her Story by a pretty large margin.

Her Story is on page 22 and Terra Nova on page 23 so it's not that big of a difference.
And now it's on Steam, barely a month after its release here.

One of my favourite games from my youth – glad to see it's back. Pity Looking Glass Studios was never able to implement the multiplayer feature...
