Yes, magnificent!

one question - owners of original game on steam have received the liberated version for free - will it work in the same way also on GOG?

P.S. GOG, you did again :P (see attachment)

Same question here.
I also own the original and the developer said that the liberated edition will be added free to owners of the original. So I also want to know if the liberated edition will be added to my library?
Then I'll quickly buy the old "Telepath Tactics" from 2015. The free upgrade hasn't been completed yet ;)

GOG has the ability to gift only to owners who bought a game before a specific date...

You can try contacting the dev. There's a topic about it on the Steam forums for this game.

Hi all! I'm Craig, the dev. So, here's where I'm currently at with this. Getting this remake onto GOG was--to put it euphemistically--kind of a pain in the butt, one that sucked away time I could have really used for developing the follow-up title. What's more, GOG's manual invoicing procedures mean that selling it here is going to be an ongoing pain in the butt. (For reasons surpassing human understanding, devs who sell games here have to copy-paste GOG's own sales figures into spreadsheets and email those back to GOG as invoices at regular intervals in order to be paid. It's annoying and an extra time burden, which is especially impactful to me as a solo dev with a day job.)

Basically: I need the game to sell well enough here to justify its existence on GOG, which in turn means not giving it away for free here. I know this is probably disappointing to some of you, but that's where my thought process is right now. I am open to being persuaded, however. Feel free to share your thoughts with me!

Hey Craig, I get it. (and just bought it :)). I appreciate your effort to put your game here!

While I understand (potential) disappointment of owners of the original, I have hope that plenty of new gamers will buy it, as it's extremely fun title (based on my experience with original game).

Ok this bit is really stupid... not the statement, the procedure. Surely in 2023 all of this can be automated?

I worry that GOG is going to tell you off for spilling the beans, but this really reveals a lot about the hesitation some developers have.

That's fine. Better have it here for a price than not at all. I've just bought both the new and the old version. Given your experience, I do not think you have any desire to ever bother with achievements, but if you could implement them here at some point, it would be greatly appreciated.

The following links may be of some assistance.
For native SDK
https://docs.gog.com/sdk-game-engines/
If you believe that using the native Galaxy SDK would be too much work, you could try utilising the Steam SDK wrapper:
https://docs.gog.com/sdk-steam-import/
https://docs.gog.com/steam-sdk-wrapper/

[EDIT01] Oh wait, now that I bought it, it looks like it does have achievements! The game feature is just not mentioned on the store. Well in that case, I have 0 regrets for buying both version. Thank you.

That's just baffling. You'd assume that the store, which earns those money, would automatically, either at set intervals or when certain amounts are reached (or probably both, at set intervals unless a minimum amount is not reached), send the amount due...
This should really be commented on by GOG, and I mean somebody who calls the shots, not just someone from the community team.

Such a shame bringing things here is such a pain, but I appreciate the effort you did to bring this game here so I'll buy it before the end of the month.

Thank you.

Basically, what you're telling us, if I may be so blunt, is that in the long run it's better for us (and you) to buy your games on steam, where we might one day get a freebie, not on GOG. I presume the game is DRM-free on steam too, right?

I picked it up today to support you, if it truly is like this I hope GOG step up and streamline the process to make it easier on the developers

Hi Craig, I have one question - I remember in the original version there was separate skirmish mode (either with AI or hot-seat with other player), is this feature somehow available in Liberated? I saw in item's description mentioned PvP but in the main menu there are only new game (campaign) and campaign editor.
