Set off on an atmospheric adventure across continents and through time.
Genre: Adventure
I still need to finish the 2nd and 3rd game. Unfortuantely, while playing the 2nd game, the dialogue cuts itself short, and haven't got around to fixing it.

Wishlisted for now.

there is no fixing it, just move on or you will never play it. Part 3 does that too.

I guess I'll have to bite the bullet. I hope there won't be too much critical information that will be missed due to the cut dialogue.

IF YOU KEEP THE SUBS ON YOU can just read the skipped words (sorry for the initial caps lock)
A lot of social themes in the game. Lots of personal stuff. Nothing from a classic adventure.
I wonder if people will like it more than the third game?

Try capping your frame-rate to 60Hz:-

"Irregular game speed and unsychronized sound. Certain animations, such as mouth movement, are tied to frame rate. Consequently, at high frame rates, animations appear erratic and sound may become unsychronized."

Syberia 2's audio works absolutely fine here for me at 60Hz.

Edit: If you're using W10 and find that VSync doesn't work on DirectX8, then download d3d8to9.dll and place that in the game folder.

Just finished it and overall felt it was better than Syberia 3, felt better optimized for PC and the story was stronger overall, only complaint I have is the puzzles are on the easy side.

Does it have an ending of some sort ... is it possible to end the series the way the story ended? (no spoilers please)

Since there was almost no one who really liked Syb3 chances are pretty high :)

I enjoyed Syberia 3 in spite of it's flaws. However, I played the game years after release, when they've implemented point-and-click controls. And I was aware of other problems in advance.

Looking forward to try Syberia 4. At least, visuals are pretty as always.)

There were puzzles that were a chore just to manipulate the items, both with the controller or the mouse. I had to use both according to what was less worse. I liked the story but I felt like I was being punished for playing it.

Oh, if you want more Sokal, GOG has the Amerzone, that is a first person point and click adventure - Myst-like, quite short, flawed of course, but interesting.

Thanks, I've already played Amerzone. Both story and puzzles are interesting, and it features shared universe with Syberia.)

The only real flaw is the lack of subtitles. I had to watch all cut-scenes twice: in French for the atmosphere and in English to understand all details.

Let's hope, his other games will be released DRM-free as well.)
