In the press:

Stronghold Crusader II was a rare game that I got lost in. I started playing and before I knew it, it was six hours later. Who can resist a game about castle building, economy raising, and taking on large castles full of troops and hazards? Especially when you can soften up the numbers by launching diseased animals over castle walls.--Dark Station

The first thing that you'll notice when making your initial tentative steps into Stronghold Crusader II is the level of detail that's been invested into making its world as joyous to behold for the player as possible. --Game Revolution

ElTerprise: Nice release :)

But the Banner on the frontpage mentions Windows + Mac + Linux. The gamecard only shows Windows. Which one is correct?
Fixed. Sorry about that and thanks for being vigilant :D

ElTerprise: No problem. But it would've been nice to have a Linux version. I guess the game is Windows-only.
It is Windows-only but I can always try to run it under WINE 1.7.53 and report back :D

djdarko: Looks cool, but they lost me at day 1 "optional content".

Edit: Wait, is this not a brand new game?
It's been out for a while :)
Quick update:

We've scheduled a stream of the game!

Ueber: Are there any news about the wine compability? :)
Well, I am taking several GOG installers home for the weekend and of them is Stronghold Crusader II :)

I also am going to see how GalCiv II or III work on my system along with D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die :D

Another delay: Wine 1.8-rc1 just came out sooooo I need to test things on that version as there were quite a few fixes done between 1.7.53 (my previously installed version) and 1.8 :)

Initial tests on Wine 1.8-rc1 are not looking too good :/ I can install the game, launch it, watch the Firefly logo and the intro with the heavy breathing crusader fighting some guy with two swords and then I just get a black screen with the game's version number in the lower left corner.

Also, the game requires .NET 4.0 or later (which i already have) and may need some DirectX 9.0 tweaks. What they are, I am not sure as I am not really an expert on running games via Wine :)

Ueber: To bad :(
But thank you very much testing and the quick response
Like I said, the game may run well under a better system, mine's 3 years old so there is that and I haven't really tried installing anything via winetricks related to directx :)
