Weeeell.

It's more of a metroidvania than a soulslike, emphasis is on exploration. Combat is present, but really not the centerpiece.
Besides, difficulty is selectable, unlike most "we're gonna crush your sweet hand now, n00blet"-inspired misery simulators.

They nailed the level design, it's pretty close to DS1 with how absolutely everything loops everywhere.

The main char has a...err...let's call it a wolfish critter sidekick that helps him or her, and the dialogue between to two is adorable. Nice to hear some non-american accents for a change.

On the downside, the optimization is downright horrible, and the controls aren't quite as tight as I'd like them to be.

karnak1: Thanks for the suggestion. I'd forgotten that game exists (even though it's quite recent).
I'll keep an eye on it.
You're welcome. Actually it is a good game and not as difficult as most other souls-likes. But I still suck at it :D
Based on this trailer, I think this game looks semi-interesting.

But IMO it seems like they could have made the protagonist be much more interesting as opposed to having him be a generic masked guy, which has already been done millions of times before.

Also, the trailer doesn't make clear the assertions made by posters in this thread that it's not a Souls-like and/or not a combat-based game.
