Freedom tax :P
Well got it earlier today, and it's curious it feels a lot like Smugglers 5... Or at least trying to be a trader for my first attempt at the game before i blew up shooting a practice dummy ship during the tutorial...

Music is pretty awesome and it has a MOO 2 feel to the graphics which i greatly approve of.

Well i guess that's that, time to start a new game and try again...

I am no expert. But this game keeps offering new things all the time and amazing how I am still excited about it after playing about a week. But you gotta put in the hours. I have forsaken trading so that's not the only way. Although later on one can still make a lot money that way I think.

Trading seems more a good tutorial point to get the feel for all that's there. In the newer game i did some ground combat training, and the AI are crap for your units. Suggest you build 1-2 strong hitters, 1-2 healers, and then alternate manually controlling the hitters to take out and snipe enemy buildings/units, if injured back up and swap. Yeah the Tutorial/practice probably didn't do it the best, and i ran out of regular metal while having tons of batteries and plasma, so... Guaranteed win, just maybe not knowing how quickly. How it does with 2-3 other AI's to fight i don't know.

I'll probably swap to Corsair or Pirate later if i die again and concentrate on space combat...

Trading is the good starting action - take credit, complete first tutorial mission, trade during tutorial medicaments and technique - game freezes prices for some time.
Probably best starting profession - Feyan merc - he gets rocket launcher, can choose second launcher, and with 2 rocket launchers you have formidable force, especially with +rockets equipment.

In most planetary battles best option usually to put 3 locator guys with 4 rockets+ with 2 healers behind and wait until opponents would deplete their resources.
