Either the game looks pretty good for a 2000er release or... I completely lost my taste...
If so, then hopefully not because of C19 or - that would be worse - Stupidity!
I guess to put it on the wishlist for now can't be wrong.

Breja: What the hell does that mean? How would I get kicked out of a single player game?
It probably either means one won't lose so easy...even if they're "total n00bz"....or that one won't be turned off by the game so easily.

Breja: And who hires a reviewer who writes "u" instead of "you"? Is that really the front of the box quote you decided to go with? :D
Iirc, back then such 1337 sp33k was the pinnacle of kewl.

tburger: Purchased but I'm a bit dissapointed with the lack of game's manual.
They(GOG, rights holder) might not have the rights to put it up as an extra.

That said, it should be easily findable online on sites like replacementdocs.

MysterD: This looks interesting.

So, is this something similar to say Inquisitor? Or even Lionheart by Black Isle?
It looks to be a an arpg with a bit more emphasis on reading.

This looks interesting. But it would be nice to have the original game added as an extra.

Vythonaut: Great release! And it looks like someone's a fan of George R. R. Martin's works... Can you find the hint? ;)
avatar
Breja: Seven kingdoms you mean? Martin didn't come up with that. (....)
Pretty good post, and thanks for the map; didn't know it was actually designed after the real "thing"!

But no, it's not anything of those you mentioned and it doesn't have to do with the game and it's developer(s). Actually, it's way more simpler than that -- the hint is somewhere in the screenshots. ;)

Ah, you meant the player character :D I only looked at the OP before. I wonder if the person playing the game for the screenshots chose the name because of those "seven kingdoms" or if it's just a weird coincidence.
Great to see this game rescued from obscurity. I played it to completion a few years ago and enjoyed it.

Is the manual included in the game folder? Because if it isn't I can upload my copy to Dropbox.

Apparently not, but it's available.

Thanks for the response. I might as well post my version anyway as it comes straight from the game CD and the cover image quality is a little better:

Thanks

If/when the game gets a sub-forum(unless it already has one), you should maybe find a good thread there and link this there as well. :)

Anyone tried to run the game under Linux/Wine?
For those interested in running the game under Linux – some bad news :(

I do realize that but still, it's a let down....
Anyway - replacementdocs saves the day :-D

Also a user in this very thread posted a link to a high quality scan of the manual as well :)
(they also posted it to the game's subforum too)
