Of course, when the paid cosmetics appeared on GOG I was greeted by an angry mob but now that we've released quality DLC with new story content, levels, guns and a new enemy type for free only Swedrami's shown up.

Thanks for releasing such a hefty DLC, really awesome.

I would like to point out that the news regarding release of the DLC seems to be missing from the front page (gog.com), I basically just happened to see forum thread because of your post. I frequent the main site and the forums as soon as I have time, and I didn't notice the news and the forum thread being there (of course it needed first to be spawned into existence by a single comment on the news section, Swedrami did that).

Also, I imagine most of the forumites attention is still on the topic of GOG storage issues, so that could play a role in this.

Just unfortunate timing, I assume, with the aftermath of last weekends CDN outage still petering out and everything going back to normal.

On a related note - Artificer already hand in the pitch for something 2000 AD yet?:

This flew under my radar. :)
Thanks for the free DLC! Sadly I don't have time right now to play, but will download the updated installer + DLC.

Are there plans for a NG+ mode btw? :)

Yeah I know, I was just trying to increase the visibility of this thread with a joke. :)

No comment, lol.

Well, I also don't wanna overpromise. It is really mostly a level pack with 5 new tactical battles that should keep people busy for 2-3 hours, though it does come with some other stuff. But I like to think that it's all quality content.

Sadly I can't make any comments about further plans for the game right now. What I can say is that we're very proud of the game and its reception and many of us are very eager to keep improving it.

i was gonna word "battle" you, but then read your next reply post and, you're not serious, so.. rain check..
having said that, whilst you confirmed that deluxe dlc will not be sold separate, i asked you to "re-arrange" the buying option to allow existing game owners to "upgrade" (anytime, nothing to do with sales) to deluxe by paying less what they already have and get the deluxe content. this option of paying less when "upgrading" is possible on steam (though some devs/pubs don't do it there, almost always only because they are not aware or don't know how) and here too.

it's simple.
game x $20.
game x deluxe $25.
customer buys game x for $20
later, customer decides he wants something deluxe has.
without "upgrade" path, he has choice of buying deluxe for $25 (and after that the only thing added to his gog account is the extra content, so he feels ripped off big time, and he is!!! he ended up paying $45 for deluxe that way.)
with "upgrade" path, he would buy deluxe for $5 because system knows he already has $20 core game, so once deluxe is purchased, the only actual content he gates added to gog library is exactly what the extras are in deluxe. he doesn't get a second copy, etc. at the end, it is as if he got the deluxe to begin with.

ARE YOU (COMPANY) GOING TO RESIST MAKING ONE ADDITIONAL BUY PATH HERE ON GOG?
tell me so i can stop asking.

Even though I don't appreciate your tone, I immediately bowed to your perfectly reasonable request and raised the issue with the higher powers. I'm sorry to hear nothing's changed to this day because yeah, the current state is shameful and I will raise the issue again but there's only so much I can do.

Honestly, we - the development studio - aren't resisting squat because we aren't responsible for this publishing stuff and pricing policy. This thing is so much bigger, it goes all the way up, possibly even to the White House. Probably not but frankly I wouldn't be surprised.

Got it. :)

Don't know about other players, but I personally wouldn't mind paying for mission packs one bit btw. I've had a blast with the game and would like to continue supporting you via another purchase or two.
