Rebuild 3: Gangs of Deadsville, a post-apocalyptic city manager/survival game, is available now for Windows and Mac OS X, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 15% launch discount!

Rebuild 3: Gangs of Deadsville is the third and most ambitious entry in the post-apocalyptic city building/survival series. Though its roots are based in the land of award-winning, browser-based gaming - Rebuild has come a long way to become the full-fledged title that we see today. Indeed, Rebuild 3: Gangs of Deadsville is a massive management game in which you're in charge of building a settlement of survivors in a world barely recovering from a zombie apocalypse. It's SimCity meets Walking Dead - with 200,000 words of lore and quests, and even more ridiculous numbers of quests and things to do, there are hundreds of gameplay hours waiting to be discovered in the gangs of deadsville.

Eat your brain out, it's Rebuild 3: Gangs of Deadsville available now, DRM-free on GOG.com! The launch discount will last for one week, until Friday, June 5, 3:59 GMT.

tinyE: In case no one noticed, there is a slight bug with the SP and one of the designers logged on a short time ago and mentioned a fix for it in the review section.

rampancy: From the review page:

How to play story mode by ColinNorthway
My wife made this game so I have playtested it more than anyone and can tell you that it is addictive and awesome. BUT there's a bug in version 1.0.0 that disables the story mode button. To fix it: start a quick play game, then quit to the main menu and the story button will be enabled.

rampancy: Clearly another example of a woman sleeping with a reviewer to garner favorable press. Clearly we have to flood their inbox with as many abusive and misogynistic comments as possible, for the sake of objectivity and ethics in game reviews.

/sarcasm
Don't see the problem. He dislosed the nature of the relationship so anyone who reads it can take it with a grain of salt. And being married there is an implicit understanding that he isn't allowed to say anything bad about his wife's game :D

gamesfreak64: rebuild 2? as online game i assume?

if so i played it aswell, just 10 minutes ago, i have been playing the rebuild 3 and i favor this one...
the controls are better, the selecting is easier, the graphics are 'cartoon/comic style (99% if not al casual games look like that and i like that(these games sell evry good btw)

so in short i think rebuild 3 is way better :D
as for loads of videos showing killings and attacks, these are not needed in small games, in games like resident evil they are a main part ( i have old RE2 and RE3 (not playable on win7 ( i hope these get the GOG treatment someday so i can play them again)

I am satisfied with rebuild 3...

tinyE: Is there a difficulty setting?
yes there is 1 tot 5 so thats 5 differnt ones and the 1 is already a challenge cause i got 3 people woudend of the 5 i have , lateron on a crash site it seemed i had to scavnge/look first then it seemed thee was a medkit, so i found a crashed person but he died cause i did not had a medkit :D
so its quite challenging.

luckily theres a config :D so now i am adjusting it to fit my noob needs, that is more food and more medkits and bullets at start
more info at the forums of the game, all explained by the dev.

JaqFrost: It looks fun and I like the graphics, so I'm game. =P
it is fun, it does not have moving animated graphics like in shooters and platformers or other games, but it still is fun and has atmosphere...
i created a smalle village called Gog Ville now i am cleaning up the zombies

Another fun part: 3 guys seeking shelter for the night, 1 wounded, but he didn't want us to check the wound s :D
so i already knew: "wow this guy is infected" :D that was fun...

the 2 hillbilly types learned us something and at night we heard shots the story said and the morning after 2 hillbilies left and thanked us... so they shot the infected dude themselves i assume :D

reall funny stuff

I'll wait till Halloween. I'm sure it'll be on discount then too, and hopefully by then the deluxe version(with a PC version of the winter mod enabled Rebuild 2, so far only available on mobile) will be made available here as well.

Not cool limiting that version to Steam only!
For those wanting drmfree of a full game.
This game has a deluxe bonus 2 characters and unique items not in the gog game, i suppose.
can someone check?

u can only get the full game in steam.

drmfree but less features here.

It's paid content though, they can release it here in the future and the content for that version is:

Desktop version of Rebuild 1 (previously only available in browsers)
Desktop version of Rebuild 2 (including "winter" mobile content)
5 bonus professions for your main leader
5 corresponding unique items
PDF artbook

Not sure if it's worth the 9€ (or 17.84€ for game + deluxe)...
I played the first game on Android and it was great on a plane ride, not sure how this will translate to a full fledged PC game even with bigger worlds and more options...

I am aware. At least provide an option to purchase the paid content here.
No option means to play the full game, u need steam.

GOG should offer the Deluxe Survivalist Edition with Rebuild 1+2 and all the bonuses as a $10 DLC upgrade.

I find this series great, pumped hours into it. But the price...I agree that its absurdly expensive. I will be buying this one but will have to wait for a deep discount to justify.

I think I'm another one that's going to wait and see if the Deluxe version is going to show up. I'm still irritable that I bought the Shadowrun game in its first format rather than waiting.
Played the beta in Steam, recommended for fans of this type of management/strategy game.

HunchBluntley: ...Aaand I only now noticed that they DID, in fact, wind up calling it Rebuild 3: Gangs of Deadsville. Pretty sure that, back when it was still in development, it was just Rebuild: Gangs of Deadsville. Huh.
Well, at least it didn't take me an absurdly long time to notice this or anything...
