Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator, a charming potion brewing sim, is out of early access now, with a -20% launch discount! The offer ends on December 20th, 5 PM UTC.

Potion Craft attracts with incredibly unique visuals; an art style inspired by medieval manuscripts and medical books. Choose ingredients, get to the prep, brew your potion, sell it to the townsfolk – all that, in a satisfying sandbox-like gameplay that allows you to physically interact with the given items.

Get to brewing, now on GOG!
YES! I have been waiting ages for this one. Thanks niceplay/tinybuild and GOG!
that was quick. or maybe the plan all along, I just don't expect ea to be finished in years. or ever. had this wishlisted since I realized potioning is fun after playing apotheker (would be nice to have on gog) and I think this isn't that heavy on store management, or works differently or something.

anyway, I'm sure they're gonna keep working on it and I'll wait for some detailed reviews to see if it's something I'd enjoy, but hopefully it is.

Maybe using the correct URL ( https://www.gog.com/en/game/potion_craft_alchemist_simulator ) would help?
EDIT:

Heads up!
The mentioned link https://www.gog.com/game/potion_craft is redirected to https://www.gog.com/en/games.

The correct page is https://www.gog.com/en/game/potion_craft_alchemist_simulator instead.

While living from Germany being used to this kind of thing with unavailable games I was seriously pondering for a few moments why this game in particular could be considered too nasty for german audiences...
Alas... it is available. Hooray. Nice concept, will take a look at this once I find the time.

GOG hasn't learned yet, to put working links in their posts.
Cut it some slack - it's only 14 years on the market.
Finally! Been hungry to play the full version after the demo was released a while ago. It's really fun, and the right amount of challenge while still staying chill overall.

Thanks for the release :D
Wishlisted
Has anyone played the full version yet? How does it compare to the demo?
Questionnaire:
"I want to brew potions because ..."

---
And the winner is:
"I don't want to live with my parents anymore"
-> potion crafting is a solitarie business.

Mechanically and artistically it's not much different than the demo, but they built upon some things nicely. I can't remember everything that's different, but things that stand out to me:
The bartering system is more nuanced and satisfying (you can choose to barter at different difficulty levels for higher risk/reward).
You can buy more pages for your saved recipes, and edit/delete existing ones.
While I haven't reached that stage yet, you'll be able to do the alchemy machine in the basement.
I think leveling up is a little different now, but I could be misremembering on this one.

Either way, it's solid. If you enjoyed the demo, you're getting more of the same but better because it's expanded. :)

Great summary. There's nothing really to add. The alchemy machine has been finally implemented. Otherwise -- it's pretty much like the demo, only ''more''. :D

In a sense it makes it odd why it took so long for the game to come out.

Can't go wrong with "more"! Now, if only someone could pass that message on to modern movie and TV show producers... :P

And re: the slow release, given it was out on Steam for quite some time but not here, I sincerely hope it's a case of there being something in the contract that took time to sort out. Or that removing Steamworks/DRM took longer than expected.

I really, really hope it's not another case of a developer delaying a release here because "DRM-free = piracy." Or, worst of all, the "pushing everyone to buy on Steam at release cheeses the algorithm, so the game trends and gets more sales!" tactic I've seen done before >.<

[edit:] Just had a look, seems this one was early access on Steam for a while, but version 1.0 release date was the same for GOG/other stores. Don't know why they didn't just do early access here, though. Make of that what you will.

I get what you mean, but I'more surprised about the, very few it seems, changes in relation to the demo. Heck, there's even an entry in the sub-forum titled ''Did you forget you have this listed here?''. :D

For the time it took since the appearance of the demo and the full release you would think there would be more changes.
I'm not complaining, mind you, just slightly surprised.
