Sad thing is, that GOG doesn't have more arcade/action tank and hovertank games. The only other game here is Desert Thunder...

And there is stuff that does lean very close to WW2, but is not WW2, like Sky Crawlers and several other things.

Often enough religion is a source of madness too. They like to play around with angles and demons or even god itself.

VC is strategy and this is more like an arcade game.
Except for the optics I don't see many similarities....you should still play VC though :P

Wondering how much does it have in common with such games as Recoil or Wild Metal Country.

Recoil was imo one of the best attempts of making mix of action game and "tank game" - played the demo with great pleasure.

Kind of reminds me of "Wargasm", 1998. Shooting stuff while listening to Classic music! Absolutely Glorious! ^_^!

Oh hey, it's some kind of single-player World Of Tanks clone? That could be pretty cool if it plays well.

Not sure the anime side of things is really for me, but I'd definitely be interested in playing something in that vein if it actually works as a single-player endeavour with AI enemies (which I have some doubts about, given the complexities of the gameplay style).
